今天，我非常震惊地发现，1946年《远东国际军事法庭判决书》（International
Military Tribunal for the Far East Judgment）网上居然有英语全文，那可是1500
页的文件啊。
我从不知道，这么重要的第二次世界大战的文件，网上居然可以轻易找到！国内媒体好
像从来没有宣传过这件事。我查了国家图书馆的数据库，发现这个文件很可能没有出版
过中译本。我不知道台湾是否出过中译本，当年南京政府应该有中文版的。
我对这个事情很不理解。
这是第一手的历史原件，历史价值就不用说了，对于爱国主义教育和揭露日本军国主义
的罪行，都有巨大的价值。可是，为什么大家都不知道呢？这是公共领域的材料，没有

从家乐小学出来，车子是没有了，走到最近的路口也要一个半小时。当地的小孩们走惯
了，上学单程最长的就有这点路。但Z女士有办法，当地人的手机里都有几个载客摩托
车手的电话，只是来接我们怎么也是三十分钟以后的事了。这是个晴天，要是个雨天就
惨了，就算是我再走一回哥伦比亚的雨林。
嘻嘻哈哈的走在乡间的小道上，其实我很享受这种感觉。笑着跟苗家医生Z女士说，“
走路可是我的强项”。Z医生很健谈的，她的经历也很奇特：初中毕业，家里穷。和许
多乡里人一样，十七岁就去深圳打工，打了不到两年，就回到了老家。按她的话讲，实
在看不到任何希望。没有什么文化的她回到家里，也没有工作，于是就自己学医。不知
道她怎么找到一个机会去药房里打杂，学着看人家配药，慢慢自己也会了点。又到处找

Did he get his thallium salt from TH? apparently not.
So how could one say there is only one source of thallium
in Beijing that could have poisoned Zhu? Thallium salt has
a long shelf life, the bottle in PKU was there too when
Zhu was poisoned.

据报道，根据美国白宫网站，奥巴马在声明中表示，他与妻子米歇尔祝贺剑桥公爵与公爵夫人产下他们的第一个孩子。而在白宫外，则有不少民众庆贺英国王室迎接新生命。
凯特王妃进入早期分娩的消息传出时，纽约的英式主题餐厅“Tea and Sympathy”升起英国国旗。顺产消息传来，餐厅更是随即升起“是男孩”的蓝色旗帜。
诸如美国有线电视新闻网(CNN)、福克斯新闻频道(Fox News)、微软国家广播公司(MSNBC)等频道，也都在节目中插播伦敦特派的现场报道。
以保守评论观点著称的福克斯新闻频道则点出，英国王室“支持度高于”美国总统奥巴马。
不过在线论坛与八卦网站则是试探着“冒犯”君王。一家美国网站向网友提问，是否认为这位王室继承人会像他逐渐秃头的父亲与祖父一样“失去头发”。
对于这一问题，有三分之二而的网友回答说“会”。 |

对于这些古巴的乐迷们来说，他们在此前的几十年当中根本没有机会在古巴本土看到摇滚乐的演出，无论是对滚石还是对其他的乐队，他们只能将这份热情藏在心中。在这场演出一开始，滚石乐队的主唱米克-贾格尔（Mick Jagger）用西班牙语向在场乐迷问好，乐队的开场曲目是他们1968年的经典之作《Jumpin‘ Jack Flash》。本场演出最终得以成形还要得益于美国总统奥巴马，他在前不久历史性的访问了曾与美国长时间冷战的古巴。

在拙文《统一世界语言的梦想》中，我曾发表了中文的象形文字最终将被拼音文字取代
的梦想。那是基于象形文字的繁琐，有感而发。作为中国人，其实我对中文的博大精深
是有切身体会的。下面尝试通过比较语言学的角度，并通过具体的例子，说明中文里“
客观”和“同情”的构词之妙。
在英语中“客观”是“objective”，其定义是“undistorted by emotion or
personal bias; based on observable phenomena”，即“不被感情或个人偏见所扭曲
；基于可观察的现象”。“objective”的词根是“object”，意为“物体”。换言之
，“objective”也有“唯物”的意思。在中文里“客观”的字面意思是“客人的观点
”或“局外人的观点”，即“旁观者清”，这似乎比英语更为恰切。
与在国内时相比，出国后对国内的形势更为关注。在国外侨居二十多年，深深地感到海

今天，我非常震惊地发现，1946年《远东国际军事法庭判决书》（International
Military Tribunal for the Far East Judgment）网上居然有英语全文，那可是1500
页的文件啊。
我从不知道，这么重要的第二次世界大战的文件，网上居然可以轻易找到！国内媒体好
像从来没有宣传过这件事。我查了国家图书馆的数据库，发现这个文件很可能没有出版
过中译本。我不知道台湾是否出过中译本，当年南京政府应该有中文版的。
我对这个事情很不理解。
这是第一手的历史原件，历史价值就不用说了，对于爱国主义教育和揭露日本军国主义
的罪行，都有巨大的价值。可是，为什么大家都不知道呢？这是公共领域的材料，没有
版权，任何人都可以自由使用。可是，为什么最应该用的人却不用呢？我不知道，这是
有意的还是无意的，反正两者都一样可悲。
尤其令人感慨的是，最后它们是由一个美国人放到网上，供全世界浏览。谢谢你，
