试了一下Iron chef morimoto 的店，乏善可陈，没啥出彩的地方。
8道菜的晚餐，基本上不能吃饱。
第一道，toro tartar
toro 碎里面混了点碎排差，上面加点鱼子酱，放在淡酱油里。我好像在iron chef 的
节目里见他做过。
吃起来非常一般，剁碎的toro没有质感，一点点鱼子酱，装门面，起不到挑味的作用，
陪的一颗杨梅还不错。
第二道，3个生蚝
三只小蚝，侍者没说是什么，应该是sister points.
三种调料，对亚洲食客来讲都不陌生，除了蚝很鲜之外，没啥好说的。
第三道，油泡白鱼
好像是白鱼的生鱼片，上浇热香油，热辣椒油，酱油，再点一点海胆。
实际效果很差，泡油鱼能好吃吗？
第四道，鱼生色拉
里面的鱼生水平很高，绝对高货。可是色拉是拿酸醋拌的，醋和生鱼不配呀。

laser treatment is not necessary and may have other side effects.
At least most of my tartar came in quickly just in the past few months. I
will have a good chance to reduce some infection and pocket just by the deep
cleaning. So it will be what I do. |

我发现有一个方法管点用, 买带baking soda或tartar control的牙膏, 涂在牙上过一
分钟,开始刷. 饭后及时刷. 用软毛牙刷,不然牙齿deep cleaning后容易受损. |

区别:
Baking soda 应该是纯的碳酸氢纳 NaHCO3 (小苏达).
加入水和面粉后,应该尽快烤,否则会失去效果.
Baking powder 除了含有碳酸氢纳, 还有酸化剂(cream of tartar),和一些干燥剂(例
如淀粉),
Baking powder 分为 single-acting baking powder(遇水后开始起作用,所以也需要尽
快烤) 和 double-acting baking powder (不用那么着急烤). |

粉加上 1/2 小量匙（teaspoon）挞挞粉 （cream of tartar）， 或 1/4小量匙（teas
poon）苏打粉加上 1/2 大量匙 （tablespoon）白醋或柠檬汁。

常春藤餐厅(the Ivy, London)，是伦敦历史悠久的著名餐厅之一, 始于1916年，靠近
剧院区，所有的大小明星必到的地方。 图片中是多年以前在the Ivy 吃过饭的，最有
名气的名星，我只认识克拉克.盖博(Clark Gable)和费雯.丽(Vivien Leigh)。 这里以
定座难闻名，好的时段，比如晚上七，八点钟，据说需要提前三个月定座。但是我发现
了一个诀窍，星期日的座位比较好定。
去餐厅的路上经过特拉福广场(9月2日)， 原来残奥会也有大屏幕现场直播，规模小了
许多，人也不多，赞助商也少。这是一个月前奥运会的直播现场，当时人山人海，与残

I've been there for couple of times, the BBQ is really good. And don't forget

前几天看见有人做蟹饼，周末自己也来做做。

马里兰蟹饼(Maryland Crab Cakes)是美国马里兰州的著名小吃。因为这里盛产蓝蟹(
Blue Crabs)，所以当地人喜欢用蟹肉来做成小煎饼吃。配上冰啤酒，别有风味。
马里兰蟹饼的配方各家有各家的秘密，但是大同小异，我这里算是基础配方个人化的。
材料：蟹肉1磅（超市有罐装的熟蟹肉。注意一种是钳子肉，便宜一些，另一种是身体
的白肉块，贵1倍。不要用假蟹肉，完全不是一种感觉），黄柠檬1 个，鸡蛋1个，美乃
兹1汤匙，黄芥末1茶匙，盐少许，黑胡椒少许，大蒜末1茶匙，香菜末2汤匙分量，面包
渣（不要太细的）1/2杯
沾料：柠檬，塔塔酱(Tartar Source)，或者Ranch色拉酱

buildup，普通的cleaning还搞不掉，另外约了两个90min的deep
cleaning。走的时候她还给了我一盒floss，让我每天floss牙齿。刚搞了一下，发现还
是个
技术活，搞完牙齿有点痛，不过搞出很多食物的残渣；发现这确实是个不错的发明。。。
你们都每天floss吗？问了4个美国人，一半每天，一半rarely。。。 |

baking powder:
baking soda (a base), cream of tartar (an acid) and corn starch (the filler)
