Should be fine.
Even in a hot day (100F), the temperature is not high enough to induce "any"
property change to the materials used in string and racquet, unless you are
talking about natural gut which is more sensitive to the temperature and
humidity.
I think the temperature should have a larger effect on the balls, since the
pressure inside may drop differently vs. temperature.
Again, we change strings once a while, balls more often. So at our level,
it does not matter.

You should be careful to claim the structure you find is the ground state.
The structure you get from the atomic relaxation is normally a local stable
structure. That is, the starting point of the relaxation can be the key to
find the ground state.
Normally the correct way of finding the ground state is to start from the
experimental data. The experimental structure should be the one obtained at
low temperature, because in some case the material will experie... 阅读全帖

I am not sure about the effect of removal from water.
But for the temperature, I THINK the DNA will still be "active". The meaning of a
DNA being active is "it still can serve as template for replication and transcription".
Its being active is always associated with the enzyme RNA polymerase and DNA
polymerase. Low temperature does not denature enzymes (usually in the lab,
enzymes are kept under low temperatures. The temperature of the refridgerator
of my department is -70C. The polymerase e

Maybe you can use PMMA, i.e., Organic Glass.
It's decomposition temperature is 238C.
It's decomposotion product is just MMA.
It's glass transition temperature is 105C.
It should be noted that glass transition temperature is not
the melting temperature of the polymers.
It is lower than the melting point.
So, Tm>105C, generally is 20-50C higher.
And it is very common in the general use.
You can try it.
