类有关，rocker类的比camber的一般要长一些，因为rocker的接触雪的面积少。还跟人
的身高和体重有关，跟滑雪水平有关，跟人的个性有关，喜欢滑什么风格，什么种类的
雪道有关。

发帖数: 3032 | 11 到日本滑雪从中国走更方便，有直飞扎幌的飞机。或者从美国回国时顺道在日本停一下
。长野附近的白马区有好几个雪场，离东京也近。北海道的雪场更好一些。日本的雪场
都不大，所以你只去一个雪场肯定不够滑的，可以把附近的雪场都滑了，交通也很方便
。雪道变化也不多，但是雪况非常好，尤其是北海道，是真正的粉雪(fluffy powder)
，什么MOGUL道的技巧都不需要，朝着大包拐弯就行了，那个大包的雪松的一下就散了。
在日本滑雪真正享受的是滑完雪在露天的温泉里泡澡，泡完澡喝个酸奶,在榻榻米上打
个盹，再吃一顿日式火锅，爽死了。而且，去日本滑雪就是机票贵点，本身住宿，滑雪
票都不贵，比美国便宜多了。
感觉去日本滑雪的更注重度假性质，追求难度是次要的，因为本身的雪道不是很
Challenge. 高手都在Terrain Park 里。日本小孩大多玩单板, 在Terrain Park 看到
那些小孩跳的又高又花俏，还有几个欧美的雪撬也是跳的水平非常高，看得我目瞪口呆。 |

这次一块来惠斯勒滑雪的家人中，包括我的几个孩子和他们的cousins，一共十来个孩
子。这中间除了两个八岁以下的每天都是跟着私人教练滑，其余的孩子们大多每天至少
有 一半的时间都在我这个Daddy/Uncle的带领下和其他孩子们一块滑雪，并戏称为
Uncle’s Winter Camp。
暑假时曾带着这群孩子，去纽约上州的滑雪场玩耍。夏天的滑雪场当然没有雪，却有树
林中的空中冒险乐园，即由各种钢索，绳梯及Zip Line组成的林中通道。这些通道也和
雪道一样，按照难度分为绿道，蓝道和黑道。那几天还领着他们在湖中滑水和Tubing，
当时孩子们都玩得非常开心，并称之为Uncle’s Summer Camp。这一次来惠斯勒，我这
个“Camp Counselor”又有机会大展身手了。
Blackcomb和Whistler两座山，都有比较适合孩子们的初级Terrain Park。第一天带他
们去Terrain Park，几个年龄小的既好奇，又紧张，滑得小心翼翼。在一个跳箱上，一

案. 是因人而异. 我两个都滑,给你讲讲我的一点感受吧.不全,因为打字太累了.:-)
snowboard: boots 走路舒服, 手里只拿一件板子, 很容易从停车场走到lift.但滑起来
是横着走的, 在下雪天,容易white out.还有就caught edge很难调整,马上摔跟头,有时
候很突然. 但snowboard 有很多好玩的tricks, 玩terrain park比较好.
ski:boots 走路很艰难,不舒服,手里有两个poles,两个skis. 优点是滑起来的方向比较
自然. 不太象snowboard 那样突然摔跟头. ski 滑起来可以比snowboard快,Traverse比
snowboard容易. 滑mogul 比snowboard容易,而且更有趣.由于新的skis近年来改进很大
,玩terrain park一样有趣.
至于哪个更酷,哪个滑好了都很酷.
至于教授说年青滑snowboard,老黄历了.现在反倒更多的小孩学ski.让你教授看看这篇

mean some extreme skiing) with decent fluency, I won't even think about
trying to improve. The fact is that I can get down pretty much all inbound
runs at the few local ski resorts I have been to without much problem, but
on some of the double black runs, I feel I am in somewhat survival mode. I
can't say I enjoy them, but I want to.

天气预报倒是挺振奋，大意如下：
Precipitation expected。
下午山脚有小雨，但傍晚Freezing Level Drop，也许会下雪！
而且翌日，晴天！
岂知世上不如意事，十之八九。
雨停后降温……
水遇冷变成什么？
上图只是冰·山一角。清晨九点，面对着冻得结实的山，冬日的太阳表示束手无策。
事实上，东部那些以滑冰著称的雪场，也只能甘拜下风。
在下半山手忙脚乱地跑了两趟，决定带小伙伴们奔赴阳光明媚的山顶。
山顶的雪还行，而且三百六十度风景无敌。
可惜往下没走多少，又是寒冰阵……哭

ski mogul well, yet 90% of in-bound terrain and nearly 100% of out-bound/
backcountry terrain is non-mogul. It's a hard skill to master yet not very
useful. Just looking for challenge?

blue terrain. You can link turns of varying size at moderate speed. If you

tail of the board following the tip, for more control of their line.

这周末又会跟朋友去KEYSTONE，想试试HIKE-TO TERRAINS，又怕被累成狗休息掉大把时
间。看着地图上三个山头DECORUM，NORTH PEAK和OUTBACK都有HIKING TRAILS，控制着
大片TERRAINS。想问问LOCALS或爬过这几条路的雪友们难爬么？比旁边BRECK PEAK8上

平衡差的话还是ski吧。snowboard需要靠移动身体重心平衡前后的edge. Ski很好上手
，而且现在的proshop 也是ski卖的好些。双板的更新换代更快些
Ski的玩法也很多，神码mogul啊，terrain park. Snowboarders一般都不喜欢mogul,但
是他们玩terrain park,尤其是half pipe很有优势。看LZ喜欢玩啥了。初学者一定要上

租过Terrain，没有抱怨的地方。
高配还有lane departure warning/collision warning之类，很不错。I4有点肉，但足
以应付daily drive。
IIHS测试成绩也不错。curb weight应该 >> 3100lb。
销量好也有一定道理。
不确定的是尺寸是不是合适，还有何时大改款。 |

另外我租过 Captiva，powertrain和Equinox/Terrain四肛版是一样的，比后者还轻。

a mortar firing exercise in Nevada, the Pentagon said today.
The Marines were all from the 2nd Marine Division based at Camp Lejeune, N.C
., and were training at the Hawthorne Army Depot 140 miles southeast of Reno
, Nev., when a mortar exploded shortly before 10 p.m. Monday.
The injured were taken to area hospitals, according to a statement from the

韩亚航空公司214航班在旧金山机场出现坠机事故之后，本版出现一股指责韩国机长鲁
莽蛮干技术低劣的热潮，其中一个较长的帖子引用了畅销书Outlier的章节，更是系统
性的将韩国坠机归结于韩国文化的权力距离（Power Distance，下文简称PD）。我认为
这种说法完全是站不住脚的。
首先来说，Outlier一书将韩国航空定义为坠毁事故率很高，支持这一论据的数据是，
1988年到1998年期间，韩国航空公司的飞机坠毁率为每百万（起飞）4.79次，是同期美
国客机坠毁率每百万0.27次的17倍[1]。如果计算每百万起飞的坠毁率，就是拿1988-
1998年期间两国民航飞机的坠毁次数去除总起飞次数，这就带来一个问题，1988-1998
