发帖数: 2895 | 7 汽油从炼厂出来应该都是一样的，因为有标准，而且检测很严格，炼厂不会冒着被查出
的危险来卖不达标的油。油从炼厂出来后进灌区，大部分公司都是在灌区加添加剂，然
后再由罐车拉到加油站。加油站的油是抽查，如果被检查到不达标就会被警告，甚至关
门。
灌区并不是属于油公司的，而是独立的灌区公司，他们建一个灌区几百个罐，然后租给
各个油公司。其实各个油公司的油在灌区经常互相混用，特别是加添加剂之前的油。想
一下如果一个炼厂检修或出事故，那么他们的加油站就要关门吗？不会。只是本地区的
油料会涨价，因为供不应求。所以你在shell加的油可能是雪弗隆出的。加州shell的油
都是TESORO供的，因为shell在加州没有炼厂。BP也没有，所以BP的油跟ARCO，
USgasoline的油都是TESORO炼厂供的。Costco的油是TESORO跟CHEVRON供的。只不过他
们自己加添加剂而且COSTCO加的酒精比其他都多，所以便宜，但不经烧，好处是可以清
洁发动机。对经常开LOCAL的车有好处而且感觉不出不经烧，但跑长途能明显感觉出来

美国西部的Shell, ARCO,USA Gasoline, 包括一半的Costco的油都是一家TESORO生产的
。添加剂不同而已。
而且各个公司之间的油都经常互用，美国的油品检验很严格，不可能不合格，所以就是

Essentially all petroleum marketers buy from whatever refineries are in
their area. Gasoline (and diesel and heating oil) are essentially regional
products because there is not a nationwide network to move refined product.
It is amusing to work at an oil terminal and see 6 or 7 differently branded
(Mobil, BP, Chevron, independents, etc) pull up and load up with exactly the

发帖数: 1246 | 30 这边的大公司有AT&T, Valero, Tesoro, USAA,Capital One（他们公司的建筑群是贝聿铭设计的）, Big 4有３家，local accounting firm很多，non profit 也有southwest research
institution, UT health system等.如果你一但找到工作就是长期饭票阿，这些公司的
福利都挺好的，工作很轻松阿，好些人都是干10年以上的，还把家里的亲戚介绍进去继续工作。或者可以找学校的工作，我认识的国际学生好多毕业了就在学校工作的。
如果喜欢安定的生活，SA还是挺好的，而且治安比Houston 和 Dallas好。 Houston我
去过3次，每次都会被“勤劳勇敢的Houston人民”（参见另一个帖子）吓出一身冷汗，
还会被潮湿的天气，突然大雨淋成落汤鸡。其实双职工不用担心，这边生活成本很低的，就是一个人工作都可以了，另外一个人可以去找找学校的工作，或者其他的轻松的工作啊。我们学校是一直在找人的。

a coating of oil all over a local park Friday.
Warm Springs Park was temporarily closed as emergency crews worked to remove
oil from the lawn and facilities. According to the refinery, the oil
release occurred after an equipment malfunction late Thursday night, but
they did not realize it had spread past their facility until the morning.

Driving through the Denali Highway
Be aware of crossing animals
今天也是赶路的一天。
为了美丽的传说中的Denali Highway，我们终于下定决心要走这条特别不平坦的路--据
说车不好的会被颠死，而且很有可能爆胎。
在Paxson转入了8号路，就是传说的土路了。空旷的路口孤零零地站着一个加油站-这就
是Alaska全境都有的TESORO ALASKA，几乎有路的地方都有它。看见它你心里就安心了。
这个加油站贴了好几张告示，说明可能路途中会有地雷，让大家一定小心。
中途有一段好路，剩下全是土路，颠得人七荤八素。而且人迹罕至，基本上就没有遇到
什么人。站在马路上跳舞也没人管你。倒是动物不少。中途又做了一次饭。
开到Denali National Park，在登记了明天的shuttle之后，我们就去了Denali Touch

今天是美国独立日，他们的国庆节。我们是在路上度过的。经常看到可爱的Tesoro
Alaska加油站。还可以看到木头房子的搭建过程。
此次的目的地是美丽的海港小镇Homer。Homer和Seward同在一个半岛，属于对称的位置
。特点是可以钓鱼和看棕熊抓鱼。。。
进入Homer以前，先休息一下吧
今天住的宾馆同样是B&B:Beary Patch Bed & Breakfast Inn
不得不说说这个B&B。这是3个B&B里面最漂亮最漂亮，最用心最用心的一个。主人是位
老太太，异常有品位，异常爱干净。她居然因为觉得客人有小孩可能会吵而拒绝了一家
人，因此我们才可以分到这间美到极点的小屋子。
由于她事先都需要客人打电话预定，因此了解客人特点。她精心根据我们是中国人的特
点，挂了一幅红楼梦的剪纸在床头！ |

Throw in the European leaders summit Monday, a possible Greek debt deal and
Chinese manufacturing data Wednesday, and you get a week that could shake
