Textpad 当 text editor 还是相当不错的。我也用 Notepad++，不过 Textpad
很多 behavior 真是太方便了。在细节上下了很多功夫。
不过，你要是写 Java 的话，一般还是 Eclipse / IntelliJ IDEA （现在有
免费的 community edition）比较好。 |

software provider involve in politics so deep. I have used Notepad++ for 2
weeks one year ago. I like textpad much better. 90% of my programming is
done in textpad. I know a lot of Java Developers uses textpad. UltraEdit is
good too. But it is too commerical. |

the very bottom, now moved to the top. The pop-up for textpad won't come out
often. Maybe once a few hundred times of use. An very good thing about
textpad is that you can find the file in the file system and right click to
open it. You do not need to associate the extension with textpad or use the
sendto. Very convenient.

DreamWeaver 的主要好处就是 template 支持。另外 synchronization 也
很不错。
Textpad 是俺比较喜欢的 text editor 。DreamWeaver 的文件修改虽然
不错，但是俺更习惯 Textpad 而已。 |

specific files using textpad, but use dreamweaver to propagate,
and upload changes. |

help pop-up, since it is free version.
I am also surprised to see Notepad++ has the boycott thing going on, I need to write a complaint to them.
Also, I think I am going to put up a support logo to my site as well for
Beijing 2008. |

俺一般都是用 DW 设置一下。实际上的编辑还是 textpad 再在 firefox / ie
上看看。然后用 DW update template / upload file 。

发帖数: 1879 | 34 DW 可不止这些。DW 你挪个文件，所有指着该文件的 link 全该。等等。
你建一个 web site，不只是一两个 html，而是一堆的文件。不一定非
得用 DW 修改 html（比如俺就用 textpad），不过 DW 提供的很多功能
很方便。更不要说 template，file sync 等。有时候 paste formatted
code 的时候也很方便，DW 自动转换。里面的 help 也不错。查东西方
便。
如果没这些功能，而只是简单的 WYSIWYG，DW 早就被淘汰了。 |

Access + Windows Server (IIS) + Vbscript (a little bit ASP)
Advantage:
- Most probably, your company have Access and windows Server. So no addition
cost. You can code VBscript by using textpad.
- You used Access and VBA, so easy for you to refresh your mind.
Disadvantage:
- No fancy interface
- Not supposed to have 100 users.
- Low performance for dealing with millions of record |

winrar, foxit, 等, MAC都是没有的. 即使上网, 有些网页是对IE设计的, 特别是很多
中文网, 那只有WIN能看, 我儿子幼儿园的VIDEO只有IE能看. 所以在我看来 MAC OS 基
本上是个残废OS, 很多用MAC的人都有WIN备用的. 你想那不是自己折腾自己么. 当然个
人喜好不同. 个人观点而已.

most just provides color syntax highlighting. For this reason, I choose
Textpad which is fast and has great editing capabilities.
If you have Dreamweaver, it also offers DOM / JS / HTML references, but
I find them difficult to use. VS.NET/MSDN has very well documented
references too. Supposely IntelliJ IDEA 6.0 will offer method listing for
JavaScript, but it costs $$ unless you have projects that qualify

Java developer一般都喜欢用free/open source的，但是
IntelliJ一份卖$500都卖的很火，可见多受欢迎。
当年的IDE，比如netbeans什么的，一看就是architect设计的，
没什么人正经用的，还不如用个好点的general text editor爽。
关于IDE的争论一般是集中于vi/emacs/textpad etc。
IntelliJ一用就觉的很顺手，不光是feature list的问题，
好象知道你想要什么，完全是developer写给developer用的。
Eclipse就是抄IntelliJ的，刚开始很烂，到现在也很不错了，
所以用的也越来越多。IntelliJ销量估计受到了很大的影响，
所以试图用免费版吸引新人。但是够呛。没法跟IBM比烧钱。
IntelliJ将依靠老用户支持一段时间，最后和历史上所有非大
公司支持的IDE一样消失掉。但是它的历史地位可比turbo pascal。
现在谁也不会再argue用text editor编程了。IDE本身必需对
