A few months ago I decided to write my memoirs, a project I knew was going

曲尺形的大柜台，柜里面预备着微波炉，可以随时热饭。这儿的中国学生，傍午
傍晚下了课，每每花五个美金，买一个紫姜鸡或者芥兰牛，——这是二十多年前
的事，现在每份要涨到十刀，——在柜外边做着，热热的吃了休息；倘肯多花一
刀，便可以买一个自选汤，或者一碟茴香豆，做开胃菜了，如果出到十几刀，那
就能买一样特色菜，但这些顾客，多是穷学生，大抵没有这样阔绰。只有那些穿
西装的Faculty们，才踱进店面隔壁的房子里，要酒要菜，慢慢地坐吃。
我从十二岁起，便在panda west里当伙计，掌柜说，样子太傻，怕侍候不了facu
lty们，就在外面做点事罢。外面的学生们，虽然容易说话，但唠唠叨叨缠夹不清

她听后重复了一遍 so udidn’t eat anyting. 我说

估计她当时要崩溃了
2.刚上班不久，有个公司的A/R打电话来催支票，我循例问了一下他是哪间公司打来的

，不过由于对公司名字还不熟，心想先用笔记下来公司名，省得等下忘记了，正得意忘
