Again, Tiger still couldn't find the fairway. 3/14? Are you kidding me? That
really made me sick as seeing a genius like Tiger playing that way. How many
times have people been critizing his driving/swinging since last year? I have

If you watched his game on TV, you will know that 3/14 fairway
hit is misleading. Some of them were in the first cut of rough,
which is virtually as easy as fairway.
And as tiger always said, he missed to the
correct side of the fairway most of the time,
which makes it easy to save par at least,
or even give him good chances for birdies.
Actually, he only gave him real trouble at two holes that day,

That leaves us little doubt that he is back.
However, I would like to give him the benefit of doubt. Tiger is the one to
beat. But his advantage isn't as great as 5 years ago. I think the reason
is that the technology really advanced significantly in the past several
years. We are seeing an average built athlete like Sergio driving the

All professional athletes have ego. I don't think what he said is that
offensive, let alone being insulting. On the other hand, Tiger was the one
who appeared to be cocky by attaching Rory's winning record. Let's not
forget, as dominant as he is, Tiger has never won a major coming from behind
yet. So he is not as unbeatable as he thinks he is when playing in the

Hogan's swing,and failed.
I carefully read Ben's swing book and Tiger's "how I play golf." The two
share the one thing in common - fundamental. but I believe they have
different thought in terms of the swing. Ben's swing plane is too flat. In
my mind, it needs more timing control between the shoulder turn and hip, and
more manupulation of club shaft position. Tiger's swing (now and before
2002) are uprighter a little bit, |

I like Ben's transition from backswing to downswing the most. Tiger's
transition is not as smooth and hard to copy.

Sergio Garcia was very much Ben Hogan like in terms of flat plane in swing.
Now he is more upright.
While Tiger used to be very upright, now he is a little flat in order to
control the trajectory according to his recently blog email.
But hard to say which one is better, having said that I don't think mimic
Tigers swing is a good idea. He is a different animal. |

I don't know if Garcia have ever changed his swing. He is a typical two-
swing planer. Also he only has one instructor of his lifetime - his father.
I don't think "Tiger used to be very upright". there is only one guy I say
his back swing is very upright - Jim Furyk. But his downswing is a perfect
45 degree.
When Tiger was young, it's true his swing plane is upright which lead to the
cross-line at the top of his backswing. He deosn't like it, so he changed

injury during the usopen, that would only add another lagency to his already
surreal career.
his kneel injury is the only obstacle on his jounery to surpass Jack's 18
major wins. But I'm sure when a heathy Tiger's back, the Golf World will be
