claim they have unexplained body odor. Only 1/3 of them tested positive for
TMAU through urine test.
Then I also think a lot of patients tested positive through their urine test
get negative result from their gene test...
That is the reason I think there is a lot more to discover on this disease(
which may not be exactly TMAU) |

In this case, I think the odor has gone because as you grow old enough, you
metabolism changed somehow and the odor will go away...

可以忍受的范围内。不是什么大问题。

我考古了下，楼主好像得了一种严重的代谢疾病，身体会持续发出一种像臭鱼一样的气

发帖数: 1 | 15 各位前辈好，我今年在国内毕业，正在申请美国PhD，目前已经有一些offer，马上也面
临要做选择了。考虑到PhD的方向对个人影响很大，现在纠结到每天头痛。。。所以到
论坛求助。希望大家给点意见，非常感谢！
我之前做的是高分子材料相关的，读完PhD希望能进入美国工业界。长远打算的话，对
个人职业生涯也有一些期望（理想化）。
目前拿到的offer 是 1.purdue chemistry, 2.Uconn polymer program 和 3.TAMU MSE
AD.
1.TMAU 是拿的AD,听说原来给RA offer的教授push到有人转组，不准备去了，也没有套
到其他教授，所以TAMU 应该没戏。
2.Uconn 高分子项目教授挺多，但是方向很传统，水平一般。
3.Purdue 只有3个教授做高分子，规模远不如Uconn。但是purdue 分析/质谱很厉害。
如果可以的话，我不介意转方向去做分析/质谱（听说要进质谱组竞争也挺激烈的，有
一定风险）。
4.另外可能会拿到 Virginia Tech 高分子项目的offer，vt这个项目从实力、朝气来说
比uconn要强。

后面那个是在houston的medical center，也属于UT系统。
TMAU的统计据说很牛，但也考虑到UT那个学校处于Medical center，会不会就业机会要
好一点呢？ |
