综合媒体8月8日报道，据弗吉尼亚枪支管理中心统计，7月以来，弗吉尼亚州大约进行
了29,000宗枪支交易。这一数据较6月份上升17%；与2011年7月枪支交易记录相比，上
升29%。这将严重威胁纽约安全。
这一枪支交易记录反映出，此前枪支经销商会对购枪者的身份进行调查，购枪者数量明
显少于现阶段。美国政府并不会对枪支销售的数量进行追踪。这一数据事实上并不包括
私下出售枪支记录。
自禁令解除以后，允许个人购买多支手枪。美国枪支经销商Pratte表示，枪支销售增加
20%至30%。
