至今对婴儿物品没有什么概念。
一种想法是直接买convertible crib。我们没有看到实物，只是看网上图片觉得可以变
换成toddler bed，感觉这种可以用的久些。
还有一种想法是，先买个cradle,然后直接买toddler.
从价格上比较，convertible crib比cradle 和 toddler bed 要贵些。但我们拿不准宝
宝睡crib可以用到几岁。如果只能用几个月或一岁，觉得花二三百刀有些贵。
根据尺寸，cradle 才39英尺长，估计可能用的时间比crib更短。
convertible crib 和toddler bed好像尺寸差不多，都是56英尺左右长。 toddler价格
比较便宜。但旁边的bedrail 一半都会与床头和床尾有缝隙。我们担心孩子会爬的时候
会掉下去。
所以请有经验的姐妹们给我们些意见，到底买哪种床会更经济实用些。

发帖数: 1718 | 16 我娃学校是会走了才可以去toddler班，一般是13个月左右。我娃15个月才升班，留级
了两个月。如果娃没有ready，我建议还是去infant班，照顾得好一些。你可以要求每
天由熟悉的老师带到toddler班一两个小时过渡。例如我娃学校早晨送的时候toddler班
的老师经常过infant班来帮忙，所以我娃跟她熟了，那个老师带他到隔壁班去就没问题
。toddler班经常拉一根绳子到走廊上散散步，这种活动不会走的娃参加不了。
具体去哪个班，有时候也受位置的影响。如果infant班没有空位，可能也会让你们去
toddler了。 |

现在很多crib都是3in1，4in1
可以变成toddler bed，day bed，和fullsize的床头
可是变成fullsize的床头还要花钱再买两根床架子
day bed还是用的crib mattress
所以觉得其实不是很实用
我家大宝现在睡一个twin的daybed，估计用到十几岁没问题，大小基本上没问题
所以crib mattress的大小的daybed基本上也就是个摆设
再说toddler bed
第一，也有些档头，防止翻身掉下来，第二床比较低
也是用crib mattress， 价格上就比crib要低好几档了。。
所以我突发奇想
能不能娃生下来直接上toddler bed
优点，1 便宜，2 infant不存在翻身的问题，到能爬能翻身了，基本上就能顺着怕下来
，反正床低，不存在crib爬出来的问题，3学走路还可以自己扶着床边走，again，低，
4 到3－4岁直接上twin 的daybed
缺点，大人换尿布不方便？（床比较低？）
不知道这个想法可靠不可靠

转成Toddler bed 需要一个toddler rail，crib一般都会有自己配套的toddler rail，
也有这种universal rail所有crib都可以用，价格便宜但是不太好看，像下面这种的：

主要表现在他们似乎都手忙脚乱，没有像 Toddler 老师那样经常可以耐心地向我解释
孩子的各种情况。看着他们实在也忙的样子，我有些问题都只好直接问 director, 但
是感到似乎隔着一层。另外就是 Preschool 每天写的孩子一天表现，也比 Toddler
简单很多，比如孩子换 diaper 的情况干脆就不写了。
想问问各位，你们孩子所在 Daycare 在 Preschool 之后的管理也是这样吗 ？ 我们仍
然在同一个 Daycare, 所以不是不同地方的制度问题。 |

发帖数: 19 | 37 女儿13个月，很快就要从infant room去toddler room了。老师说toddler room的老师
管的孩子多了，不可能像现在的老师一样每个孩子都一口一口喂饭。由于女儿仍旧在吃
米粥，面条之类的东西，自己又还没学会用勺子，所以还得要人喂。
尽管她可以手抓吃一些面包块，水果块之类的，但是肉类和蔬菜只能喂着吃。
看着一个个比她小的美国孩子拿着半个bagel啃，或者吃着大块的鸡肉和水煮蔬菜，我
又开始担心小家伙回头会饿肚子。因为toddler room大家都统一作息，过了点儿饿了老
师只会给一些snack了。我很怕因此女儿会养成不吃饭吃零食的习惯。
不知道这里有没有类似问题的妈妈。你们给还不会用勺子吃饭的孩子带什么午饭呢？

边都有松紧，只能头尾两边有。我查了一下，toddler size和crib size其实一样，但
家里买的几个crib size fitted sheet都是四周都有松劲。不知道toddler size
fitted sheet是不是肯定就只有头尾有？不然我得买回来拆了才晓得买的对不对，
target店里去看了一下都是整个bed set卖，觉得拆了不要给人退回去又不太好。 ：

一个是happiest toddler on the block,是那个happiest baby on the block的作者写
的，我觉得写的很好，深入浅出，挺有道理的。
还有一个是baby whisper Tracy Hogg写的，题目是，Secrets of the Baby Whisperer
for Toddlers, 比前一本厚，没有那么容易读，但是写的也挺有道理的。
我现在在看的一本是First Three Years of Life, 这是华人上的人推荐的。我买回来
看，开始的时候觉得挺枯燥的，语言没那么生动活泼，比较课本化一点，但是慢慢看进
去之后，觉得写的不错。值得推荐。
我觉得这几本书最主要说的就是，你需要理解你的孩子，接受你的孩子，首先理解他是
什么类型的孩子，然后再对症下药。toddler总是会有一个成长的过程，或早或晚，或
长或短，如果能理解为什么会这样，处理起来会好很多。
反正我觉得我看了书之后，内心平静多了。首先知道了别人的孩子也都这样，其次知道
了早晚会过去。

还不会自己吃饭，回答是先去适应适应看看，老公稀里糊涂就答应了。我知道后说去了
toddler班肯定就留在那里了，不会再让女儿回infant班的，老公还不信，今天一问果
然如此。
女儿现在情况是能走路能喝冰奶，元旦后老师有意识地让她只睡中午一觉，我明显感觉
她睡眠不够，每天去接她上车就睡觉。最主要是她现在还不会自己吃饭，sippy cup用
得也不好。我担心现在就把她升到toddler班是不是早了点，她去年10月底入学后几天
就开始断断续续生病，到目前为止在daycare的时间总共不到一个月。

了以后就升隔壁toddler小班，所以有的娃儿8个月就升过去了。到两岁从toddler小班
升toddler大班，如果大班有空位置的话。大班跟小班是一墙之隔，我们上小班的时候
进教室要穿过大班教室。他们到了下午接娃儿的时候，时不常两个班就拼一起了。所以
我娃儿在升大班之前就跟大班小朋友一起玩儿很久了。不过就这样升大班头两天他都要
求进小班教室－－－以前上小班的时候每天得强行扯他进去。所以娃儿肯定是要时间来
适应的。
我觉得老师吧，主要得看班上别的娃儿是不是玩儿的高兴。别的娃儿高兴的话，老师也
不会太差。我娃儿小班老师有个明显态度不和蔼的，可是后来我观察结果居然市我娃儿
比较喜欢她。 |

发帖数: 585 | 48 我女儿两岁半就被转到preschool了，刚开始也不适应，每天回家都特别累的样子。她
们老师说很多孩子都这样，主要是preschool的活动多，小孩子的脑子一下子受的刺激
多，显得特别累。当然preschool的师生比列就和toddler班不一样。我女儿学校
toddler是三个老师带十来个孩子，每天报告上几点换的尿片啊，吃饭吃得好不好，都
做了些什么activies都写得很详细，Preschool索性没有报告了。Preschool是两个主要
老师和一个次要老师（轮流在各个班教学生—）带十几个孩子。我女儿的学校的规定是
一定要potty train 好了以后才可以从toddler班转Prechool班，一开始还老有
accident，他们老师也给换衣服什么的。
Prechool的老师好像比较注重教育，就是教认字母啊，唱歌啊什么的，在生活上的确不
如小班老师细致，希望孩子生活方面都自理。什么时候上厕所，口渴了自己去喝水都是
孩子自己控制。我一般也就在接的时候抓老师随口问两句，反正孩子看上去高高兴兴的
就行了，一般老师也都会停下来和我说说。我觉得你孩子学校的情况听上去还满正常的
