we gained lots of money by those 2nd tier colleges.
Tongji's money is No.6 in China. While most other universities get money from
Education Dept/National Fund, we made money by design projects and 2nd tier
colleges.
This is the NBest thing about Tongji. While other univerties wasted our citizens
blood money, we can make money by ourselves!!. |

local enterprises/government and, technicaly speaking, is lectured by Tongji
$-maniac personnel.
The bad thing is that ppl from these training centers are also self-termed

If I were a highschool graduate from Zhejiang province, I would like to choose
Zhejiang university not Tongji University as my favoriate university. If I
would like to stay within my province, I would like to choose Ningbo not
Tongji either. Therefore, it is not much surprise in this case. However, I
strongly agree with you at one point: too many 3/4-tier universities in China
have been merged into our alma mater.

令人难堪的是几乎所有的同济校友的学士学位都没有通过ECEI审查，主要集中在土木工程

So that could be a big news if Tongji becomes the first ever. Make this point
crystal-clear to VIPs, so that they may take this as their achievement in
promoting Tongji into "World-Yi-Liu" class. haha. Anyway, try to emphasize the
benefit for them, which is the key point. //sigh
Also, do some homework before you or your "夫人"出面. For example, there are
criteria set forth by ABET and ECEI to evalaute an engineering program. |

I know, some of them are structural engineers, and working in some consulting
firms. They might give you some suggestions on your resume and application

I think for 100% civil engineering major in Tongji, it is not difficult to
cover four out of the seven 方向 as you mention. For me (bridge), I would say
my educaiton covers all except for envirionmental engineering.
