威力真的要了解清楚沿海城市那些boat clubs, billfish shishing club. 每年的
Billfish fishing tournments. 看看人家的规模， 绝对不是bass master tournment
可比的。 与海船的俱乐部比， Bass club真是红脖子穷人的俱乐部。

“规则在先” 只是BCS的规则(6+ND). UTAH和MW跳了半天没用.
TOURNMENT不是单循环,我还看到过抱怨TOURNMENT的冠军.
这不是 50步/100步而已, SEC和大12冠军不是全国冠军.
BULTER还是打出来的,这一点没有人会否认. |

面可以看到大家的rating. 有时候有tournment公布选手和结果，上面也标明选手
rating,可两者计分差距很大，ratingcentral的计分要低大概300分左右。比如
ratingscentral上1000分的选手，tournment上积分有1300多。
谁知道砸回事？下次比赛见到组织者我也一定问问，先在这里问问了。 |

发帖数: 37 | 11 女儿8岁，大半年前开始和另外3小孩一起请一个private coach教网球，平时和我自己
打打。
她进步明显比另外的小孩快多了。 所以感觉可以继续培养。 她现在的问题是需要
challenge。 大家说下面哪种方案比较好？
1。继续现在模式，我自己3.0左右，还能陪她打一阵，但总觉得小孩该和小孩打。可以
加一些USTA的tournment比赛
2。改成单独的private coach (现在的coach很好），每周学30min到1hr。 然后参加
USTA的tournment打比赛。
3。到市里的tennis center，参加他们的tennis academy program。这个tennis
center的program也不错，里面有不少小孩打得不错。他们一般是6-10个小孩一组跟一
个coach，然后周末他们自己打比赛。也会去外面打积分赛 |

down the river probably is ok play agianst this player?

。还没时间练tournment. 也就没打什么tournment. 不过还是努力参加freeroll的。
完全free的那种。 昨天夜里12点前赶到家。就是为了打1-2个点数出来。好参加下月的
one per day 2k freeroll. couldn't help but laugh at myself once I did that.

really play much tournment. but I get the feeling that at late stage in
tournments it is all about preflop then all in.

definitely will try it later espcailly during winter time when have to stay
indoors.
bonues are so much fun. poker star is offering $600 deposite bonues also.
as soon as I finished the fulltilt one, I will set up accounts for my mom
and collect another round. :) that will take care of the cost for the
vacation this year.:)

goal is the occational big score, it helps to play tournments
but if your goal is to consistently make money/move up, definately play cash

career profits. I dont think they took out the buyins. and for the big
winners of any major tournment, I think they always get invited to other
tournments for free. at least that is what I heard.
casinoes have to report all $4000 + winning? I think all those are pobulic

cash game now trying to move up limit. it is really tough to move up limit.
I think there are so many guys here who are so good at tournment on this
board. lets wait and see what they would say. :) |

football...
因为我们部门孤零零的不再总部，所以感觉一个部门的人关系就比较近了。
我英语还可以， 所以语言障碍不大。
我基本的做法：
1.听不懂的笑话就问为啥？大家都很乐意告诉我。
2.虽然不爱喝酒，不过每次喝酒一定去。 不喝酒喝果汁。或者问那帮人啥酒好喝。喝
酒是次要的， social 比较重要
3.做点cookie,cupcake啥的带到公司，大家一起吃，都很开心
4.自找事的组织我们部门的娱乐活动.什么group lunch, putput golf tournment,
football bet, basketball bet.每次生日买礼物贺卡都是我管
5. 和男同事的老婆搞好关系，有时约她们出去玩
6. 虽说咱不是美国人， 也不乐意他们喜欢的东西，不过为了人际关系，我还是努力学
习美国文化，看一下football的比分，看美剧，了解玩笑话。
7. 发现每个人的爱好，然后至少就能各个突破了。比如我们组的小美喜欢做饭，我就
和他聊做饭，然后慢慢的就聊开了

on last year's tournment, there were no any clock stoped during the games,
so some teams when they lead one or two points,and the time got only one min
left, they will kill the time when they do the penalty shot, and the game
is over after they finish the penalty shooting, so there's why I suggest
stop the clock when penalty shooting this year.

我回想我的打球经历,
第一个遇见的女高手就是taishanniu
我是2001年到湾区开始比较seriously打球
原因就是遇到mapcar,taishanniu等球友
那时候taishanniu打球很积极,水平也很高
我们有一帮beginner都打不过她.
当时湾区的场地还很少,大家一起打球都是打双打,
能有幸和taishanniu合作是非常幸运的一件事
可以把后场都交给她,难接的球也都给她
对上taishanniu基本是必败
当时taishanniu在湾区打球时间比较长了
也打过tournment,人脉也广.认识好多湾区的高手,
俨然就是一帮球友中的大姐大呀 |

水平不够. 第二也是因为比赛经验不足.通过这些比赛,真正才认识到了
自己的水平以及动作的局限. 这一年,我球打得很多,但是实际进步很
少.我发现反复练球也很难提高了.遇到瓶颈了.
当时我去打比赛,由于技术不行基本上是拼体力,耗到第三局,靠体力
磨死对手. 我记得我当时打比赛有三局不败的称号,原因也很简单,
技术比我强的,打不到第三局,能被我拖到第三局的, 我就靠体力赢
他.这么打球,真是辛苦呀.当时我还有详细的体力锻炼计划.当真是要
把野蛮进行到底呀
到了05年, 我还在野蛮的打球,没有进步,体力却越来越差了,比赛也
是越打越输. 这时候,正遇到了周指开班. 我重新拜师,上了两个月的课.
周指的教球是我见过最专业的,关键在于动作的讲解和纠正上面
周指的教法,动作首先要做正确,开始练习,不要在乎质量,先把动作
作对. 然后再慢慢提高球的质量. 但是由于我的野球基础,按这个学法
基本上就是要先自废武功,再从头练起,一个动作就要学很久.我记得高
远球我打了一个月,最后实在受不了了,才改学别的动作.更郁闷的是,
自己的野 |

their opponents, how come after years and years, no one can
figure out what's going on? It's not easy, but it's highly
likely some freaks out there will get it done if reasonably
detailed informations are available.

or even just an introduction to their system, their success in

这让我想起多年前刚到美国开始钓鱼的时候.那时除了看fishing tournment转播外,最
fan的就是Hank Parker和Bill Dance的fishing show了.Hank Parker和Bill Dance都曾
是很牛逼的bass fishermen.尤其Hank Parker,是两度Bassmaster Classic冠军.这老兄
讲起fishing(特别是bass fishing)来对技术层面的东西讲得多,所以他的show是很受欢
迎的.但实际上更多人喜欢Bill Dance的show,主要原因是此人的show对大多数人(特别
是我等没船wsn)来说更"贴近生活"--他主要讲small water fishing.讲的品种也多,
tips对没船的人也有帮助.有时候甚至一期节目就是岸钓cat fish.而且他的show另有特
点,就是每次show都要整些滑稽搞笑的噱头,特别让人喜欢.已经很多年不看fishing
show了,也不知Bill Dance的show是不是还在播. |
