I'm not one to judge but speaking from a military stand point. The police
were following protocol that they have been trained to go by. They were
taught to confront a perpetrator and to allow them the opportunity to drop
their weapon when confronted and ordered to do so. If they are engaged then
they must react no matter what the outcome is. They are not told to shoot to
injure. They are trained that in the line of duty, they are to shoot to

哈佛大学教授傅高义（Ezra F. Vogel）倾十年心力完成的巨著《邓小平时代》（Deng
Xiaoping and the Transformation of China）于2013年1月由生活·读书·新知三联
书店出版，在中国大陆首度公开发行了简体中文版。
《邓小平时代》一书英文原著于2011年在哈佛大学出版社出版，2012年香港中文大学出
版社出版了未经删节的中文版，译者为冯克利。港版全书约58万字，其中注释6.1万字
。三联书店的大陆版仍采用了冯克利的译本，但对内容进行了删节。
大陆版正文较港版删节约5.3万字，其中包括“邓小平时代的关键人物”（Key People
in the Deng Era）一文约2.6万字。附录部分，大陆版的注释从港版的105页缩减为78
页，索引由港版的39页缩减为11页。

现在的游行有不少问题：使用大量的中文标语，关键词使用中文而不是英文， 美国主
流社会的人看不懂； 对黑人Mr. Gurley 的不幸遭遇没有表达同情， 好像华人没有同
情心似的；对Peter Liang 的支持的标语有歧义，口号说“支持Peter Liang”, 是支
持他误杀人么？ 语意不明确， 好像华人是非不分似的。针对这些问题， 提出几点建
议，在游行中应该注意的事情：
1. 不要使用中文标语，全部使用英文标语，因为你诉求的对象是不懂中文的美

你们看这个官司的时候，想到过亚特兰大老张了吗？
美国的事情你们根本就不懂！瞎吵吵。
亚特兰大老张自认为清白然后就被审判了。 为啥尼？
因为美国政府为了节省经费或其他原因（就是私货）不愿意公开审判， 希望私了。 办
法就是公开审判的如果认定有罪， 判得特别重！就是逼着人们私了。
私了后，对社会帮助很小了。 然后媒体就是。。。。 谁谁谁发财了。。。
背后呢， 这个赔出去的钱， 从别人头上拿回来。 这就是医疗。 问题是都私了了，
很多都不公开， 。。。 等等。 所以医疗越来越黑暗。
因为大医院背后是政府， 所以政府惩罚作证的医生。 医生不是不愿作证， 是不敢，

哈佛大学教授傅高义（Ezra F. Vogel）倾十年心力完成的巨著《邓小平时代》（Deng
Xiaoping and the Transformation of China）于2013年1月由生活·读书·新知三联
书店出版，在中国大陆首度公开发行了简体中文版。
《邓小平时代》一书英文原著于2011年在哈佛大学出版社出版，2012年香港中文大学出
版社出版了未经删节的中文版，译者为冯克利。港版全书约58万字，其中注释6.1万字
。三联书店的大陆版仍采用了冯克利的译本，但对内容进行了删节。
大陆版正文较港版删节约5.3万字，其中包括“邓小平时代的关键人物”（Key People
in the Deng Era）一文约2.6万字。附录部分，大陆版的注释从港版的105页缩减为78
页，索引由港版的39页缩减为11页。
在给《纽约时报》的邮件回复中，傅高义坦承了他对《邓小平时代》大陆版的看法。他
表示，三联书店能够获准出版《邓小平时代》中文版并保留了他想表达的核心内容（占

For the second week in a row an NFL player has senselessly died in an off-
the-field incident. Dallas Cowboys linebacker Jerry Brown was killed while
riding in a 2007 Mercedes with teammate Josh Brent, who was intoxicated and
