you'd better try to gain some special experiences here in the US.
for example: travel survey, data process/analysis, activity/logit models
development, dynamic toll development
these things may put you on a better starting level after you go back. but
you do need to REALLY work on these.
purely my guess, might not worth a cent.
don't go back to fight with ur colleague with TransCAD or Vissum skills,
that's terrible. |

google map, google earth, mapquest， 给政府做的网络GIS， 比如USGS，国家地理
的网上地图，国内go2map, map abc，这些都多的很。
专业的 房地产的网络地图，还有e-都市不知道听说过没？
更专业的行业应用，电力GIS，水利，林业，农业，土地估价，定级，规划，对了很多
地方规划招GIS规划师，各地的国土局建立土地信息系统，不过项目不大几百万级别。还
有国家的地理信息建库。亿级的项目，美国这里的各级政府需要GIS更多！包括公司，比
如utility的公司管理网络，市政建设。交通管理，transCAD, 偶对遥感不太了解。可是
遥感的项目更多！ 可惜GIS在国内给做烂了，美国类似，还是遥感好点。
生意太多。机会不少，不过由于是人都可以做，竞争激烈。 |
