My dad has the problem inherited from my grandma.
He is never on medicine. As he is more than 75 now, the tremor becomes worse
and worse.
I am considering to let him take some medicine like Beta blocker, is there
any side effect? |

dependent. There is no magic drug at his point, as far as I know.
In terms of tremor, it can be a lot of different causes, varying from
benign tremor to more concerning Parkinson's disease. Of course the
treatment varies based on the diagnosis. He need to be examined by a
neurologist in person. No one shall diagnose just based on description. |

查了查网上说，这个essential tremor大多数不需要治疗。
另外忘记说了，网上看parkinson早期也有手指震颤和灵活性降低的表象，母亲目前左
右手的拇指食指中指都不太灵活，不过她说来美国以前去看过医生了，医生说是剑鞘炎
，有一个拇指还动了手术。不知道这个和parkinson有没有关系。

For E, you ablate the substantia nigra by a needle, then it is going to
mimic Parkinson, accetuate Tremor.
This question is based on FA2011 p400. It is like that tremor is inhibited
by blocking the pathway.

有几点想说一下：
1. Wilson's disease一定要先除外. 这个病sumo2009在国内时有很多经验， 可以请教
她。
2. Dopa responsive dystonia。 神内医生可以治疗一下。
3. Myoclonus/tremor。 药物治疗效果不错。
4. 如果药物治疗无效， 对于顽固性tremor， 影响生活质量， 可以考虑DBS。 |
