has to get a part time job and stay for 6 months to be qualified. For ppl
holding foreign country passport.. i do not know, but I doubt a xenophobia

even we just moved in TN for less 1 month at that time,
we got the document to waive out-state tuition without asking
how long we had stayed in TN. Actually, we asked this and mentioned
that we've just settled in. but it seems it was not a problem at all. |

先说背景，我是国内某不知名医学院07级的5年制学生。大四开始听说usmle后利马行动
，虎头蛇尾拖拉了1年半考完step1，拿了个让我没脸见人的分数(<220...所以我不是谦
虚，我是正版的小虫子...)。分数出来也接近毕业了。各种惶恐悔恨迷茫略去不表，相
信你会懂。
然后6月份在skype上突然有人跟我说话，然后这个神奇的世界开始颠覆了。。。。
是的，老神奇了~~~就是那么短短不到半个小时的talk,让我听从了网上/skype上一个叫
Lenny的陌生男人（陌生人哪陌生人！！！陌生男人哪！~）的建议，在距离毕业考试1

Why do so many Chinese study physics and math relative to Americans?
The answer may be similar to why Germans, Swiss and Danes studied physics
and math, relative to Americans, prior to WWII.
That being, a long history of intellectual cultures in those other countries
and the lack of one here.
It is hard to be a cowboy and a physicist simultaneously.
