I used Taxcut 2006 and it can import TXF, but last year it can not.
Will tax cut 2008 be able to import TXF format?

other borker
on all 1099 reported to irs
1) all normal stock trade, reported, cost basis included
2) all ETF trade, reported, cost basis not included
3) all option trade, not reported.
the TXF you import to your software is a mess, they will treat everything as
reported cost basis not included. so you need to manual change every
trade to match the 1099 reported to IRS. take me a whole night to do so. |

into different forms few years ago, and it worked for me every year. Not
sure what tax software you are using, but sounds like it needs to take care
of the transaction codes in txfs.

它生成的文件日期格式不是mm/dd/yyyy的，有办法可以改么？难道要在turbotax里面一
个一个改？。。。。。还有，它这个交易记录好像跟我在trading history里面看到的
明细不一样，但是最后的总数是一样的，是不是它已经自动adjust了一些东西，譬如
wash sale这些了？？ 谢谢 |

今年不行，它虽然迷惑你说我们可以直接link到你的scott账户，但居然愚蠢无比地只
把proceeds列为gain!
这么一来可不就算你赚了好几万吗？靠！我的本儿才多少。
估计前几天那个用Etrade的同学也遭遇的同样问题。
我头晕脑胀地在turbo 的service center读了半天，总算得到一个解决办法，就是你要
自己从scott账户的tax文件中去下载你2010年的.txf文件，然后到turbo里点最左上角
的file-import-from accounting software，browse到你自己下载的.txf文件，然后
import，别去理会它那个帮你寻找broker account的选项，纯属是害人！
我想Etrade里面，其它online trading软件里面，也应该有这个.txf文件，用这个功能
，可以不必自己手动输入——当然如果时间来得及，用手动验算一下总是放心些。 |

File->import->from Accounting software->Other financial software (txf).
With the Online version ,at least, I don't know how to import txf even after I ever upgraded the version to premium (online).
Wash sale is automatically calculated during the import process.

TurboTax download version (CD or downloadable version, not online version) can import your txf from your local drive.
If your TurboTax Premium doen't support txf, you can upgrade your version of

到了买卖股票这一步的时候输入券商scottrade和我的账号，然后显示import
unsucessful。我从Scottrade下载了那个2016年的statement，是txf格式的文件。是不
是这个txf文件必须去买turbo的光盘版才能上传报税?因为我刚刚用网页版的时候没有
提示我上传文件。
另外一个问题：这个txf文件到底和那个什么1099B表格是一个东西吗？

Keep in mind that the TXF file includes realized transactions only and does

首先到scottrade下载.txf 报税文件。这个文件包含了 cost和washsale
你必须使用安装版的turbotax,不能用 online版本。

目中，用manual overwrit的方式填入相应的汇总数。但这种方法，你就不能用efile了

我download出来的tax report是txf格式的，貌似只能用报税软件才能打开，可我今年
想自己手报。然后去看tax statements,说我的form 1099会在2月15号之前寄给我，真
的是这样的么？
这JB老美咋搞这么麻烦啊，A股多好，啥费税在买卖股票的时候就一并扣了，多省心啊

1。是不是如果有百来比股票交易，就需要用Premier而不是dulexe了？
2。另外如果想导入broker的TXF文件来计算那些什么loss/gain， wash sale什么的，
是不是需要买desktop版本的，不能用online版本的？否则就得自己一笔一笔输入和计
算了？（这个我是在Scottrade看到的说明，他家有TurboTax online版本30%的
discount，不知是不是这个意思）
3。总听说起Schedule D， 这个东西是Broker会寄给你还是报税的时候自己准备的？比
如我有Scottrade和IB的帐户，现在只能看到1099 Form，没有看到过Schedule D，但是
1099上面只有卖出的交易，输到TurboTax online的版本里就显示欠了天文数字的税了
应该很多新人都有这样的问题，有哪位有经验的前辈指点一下吧，在此重重谢过了！！ |
