musil 的《the man without quantities》（中译：没有个性的人）。
ps，维特根斯坦弟弟paul wittengenstein的故事里，我偶像Prokofiev还友情出演了。

通过来美短短的research经历，特别是和一些faculty和学生的交流，对于学术有了一
点点体会，在研究之余，上BBS是一个杀时间的主力军。最近越来越发现，学术和BBS有
越来越多的相似之处。
1. 一个大的学术组织就如一个大型的BBS。比如EE界航空母舰级组织：IEEE,在全世界
有成千上万个分舵，每年也有成百上千个会议。
2. 各个小领域就如BBS的各个版，版主就是各领域的大牛，借用商界术语就是tycoon (
太君可能就是翻译的这个词)，这些大牛往往在一些funding组织（NSF, NIH,..）里任
职，拥有对发考题们每年提的要funding的proposal的生杀大权，而且他们对热门研究
方向具有指挥权，大凡会议上有他们的talk,底下的法考题们往往很认真的记笔记，很
积极的提问，把握了大方向，才能增加funding的批准率。

跟风叫嚷:只要具备两条就是“现代文盲”，一，不懂英语；二，不会电脑。其实，文
化所涉及的领域形形色色，是否可以这样说，不会写毛笔字、不会算卦，就等于“国学
文盲”？
、西班牙和阿拉伯语，当成了通向世界、通向文明的惟一桥梁。母语——中国话可以弄
得一塌糊涂，甚至不如日本人写得漂亮，讲得流利；英语，却必须要捱过大学六级、托
福考试。这据典型的崇洋媚外做法，似乎该回头了。随着中国国力的增强，汉语也逐渐
