Judge files $10M claim against UCPD

A Los Angeles Superior Court Judge recently filed a $10 million claim for
damages against university police, claiming two UCPD officers used excessive
force after stopping him in Westwood for a seatbelt violation.

Village in Albany. Four of the
burglaries were “hot prowls” because the residents were in the home at the
time.
The first burglary occurred on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at 3:42 a.m. in B
uilding 113 via a window screen

The next occurred on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 some time between the hours
of 5:30 a.m. and 7:15 a.m.

UC Berkeley graduate student Arthur Qi, remembered for his gentle nature,
died over the weekend. He was 30.
Qi, who was a student in the Haas School of Business’ Master of Financial
Engineering Program, was found dead in his home after classmates alerted
authorities when he missed a group lunch and had not been seen all weekend,
according to Ute Frey, associate director of marketing and communications at
the business school.

exit door between Chancellor Nicholas Dirks’ office and his conference room
so he can escape if protestors violently storm his suite. From the Daily
