但是我计算一下 Unfilled/Offer Positions percentage，应该就没有版权问题了吧
今年最惨的科是Radiology-Diagnostic, 13% unfilled, 倒是不太奇怪，放射科外包趋
势不可避免。13年的时候还是6% unfilled, 现在更加下坡路了。
Pathology只有6% unfilled, 表现不错了。
另外一个传统的dream specialty, anesthesiology, 现在也是5% unfilled, 走下坡路了
Family medicine 5% unfilled
Internal medicine 2% unfilled
EM, ObGyn, Peds, Meds/Peds, PM&R，是正在走红中的几个科，今年都是 <1%
unfilled
Surgery今年把Categorical和Prelim混在一起算了，所以不好统计。不过Ortho是0
unfilled position (out of ~700), 很震撼，看来是红中之红。

and my score is still pending (hopefully will come out on March 16). Do you

This year general surgery is hot again. Some AMGs failed to match even with
10 or 11 programs ranked.
After one day, most unfilled positions are filled by now. Many programs take
the students from their own school.
For the 4 unfilled Derm positions listed, there are actually only 2. Tufts
filled outside the match but they didn't remove the quota from NRMP.
For the 7 unfilled Rad Onc positions listed, there are actually only 3.

will not have access to any information about unfilled programs.
You can apply for 30 new programs and 15 old programs from the unfilled list
. Make up your mind about specialties now, and send out the application

发帖数: 216 | 6 FM unfilled 的位置比较多最主要原因是pre-match很少。其实pre-match是break rule
的一种做法，对参加match的人是不公平的，尤其对于IMG来讲，机会更少。IM 有接近
5000个位置，但unfilled 的才几十个，这就是pre-match的结果，把游戏的随机性基本
去除。 |

是分开算的，Categorical <1% filled, Prelim 1/3 unfilled, 今年估计并没有变化。
所以今年最惨的是放射科，而且是一年不如一年。13年的时候还是 6% unfilled |

里面全是米国放射科医生。有很深度的分析关于放射科周期性申请人升降变化，未来可
能的趋势，以及今年为啥有这么多unfill position。
我的感觉是，今年重灾区unfill的都是社区小program。大program除了几个PD未能及时
调整策略的，基本上没有受影响，特别是soap以后。面试的时候对手还是AMG为主，DO
的比例比以前升高很多，加勒比海的也很多。我认识的大多数IMG申请人能match到
decent的program的特点是毕业年限短，高分，有放射科研究经历。譬如一个台湾男孩
，高分，毕业还不到一年，在MGH跟着做research，今年拿到29个面试。最后match到放
射科排名30多名的医院。
面试prelim的时候遇到一些申请放射科的人还是有没拿到放射科面试的。今年放射科PD
没有放低太多标准。或许明年他们会多rank些人。 |

avoid it if they can. Some of those programs are purposely left unfilled, so
people matched to advanced positions only have a chance to scramble for a
PGY-1 spot. Last year more than 1000 AMGs participated in the scramble. |

programs。我认为这是一个好兆头。因为PD今年看到申请的人多了，便飘飘然起来，眼
光高了挑剔了，殊不知他看上的那些条件好的AMG们并没有把他RANK高，也就把他忽悠
了。受了这一教训，明年他们会务实一些，多给我们老CMG发IV，也会多rank我们老CMG
了。只要这30个多出的位置一半给老CMG，我们就大获全胜了！

There are 7 unfilled Cards programs, total of 10 unfilled positions.
There are 5 unfilled Hem/Onc programs, total of 8 unfilled positions.
The open inforamtion for everyone showed the unfilled GI programs are
Gerogetown U, Johns Hopkins, U Colorado, Yale, Maryland U. But most of the
programs are GI/research, not GI/Clinical.
Only the unmatched people can see the really detailed and accurate
information of unfilled program. |

The Scramble is just around the corner and it can be a hectic, stressful day

match。用家乡话说，我的底儿太潮，潮湿的火柴怎么能在火柴日擦出亮儿呢？我100%
的知道不可能 match，因为我 的面试是 0%。那年的今日我在闷头准备第二天的
Scramble。我花两千块钱雇了公司，因为觉得公司实在没什么大用，所以就没有事先给
大家推荐。但是我觉得我那一段的经历，也许可能多少对您起点作用。
星期二 unfilled list 一出来，我就开始打电话。绝大多数都是忙音，不过居然也打
通了两至三个，但是无一例外，都是秘书接的，让我上 ERAS 申请 ！骂靠都没用---实
在不靠谱啊！眼看着unfilled list一个一个地fill 掉，就如同希望一点点被蚕食，而
蚕茧也被一丝丝地抽净。到5点钟，终于电话里不再是忙音而全改留言了。我一气之下
，选了几个离家最近的unfilled program，开车踏上征程。
说最近，其实也都在6-7小时的车程之外。我真的很羡慕住在纽约的同学们，因为纽约
有那么多unfilled program啊！本打算当晚飞纽约的，但查了机票，天价啊！就把机会
让给了 |

despite the fact that they declared that they participate SOAP. There were
11 transtional programs unfilled on Monday and now there were still 9
unfilled programs--highly unlikely considering so many applicants are crazy
in applying anywhere. The same goes with preliminary medicine: there were 48
programs unfilled and still 35 now.....Something is fishy. The system is
not working as expected.

发帖数: 706 | 35 到目前为止，很大一部分program的面试基本上都出来了。今年我们CMG申请病理的人数
暴涨，首先要感谢去年病理申请组所取得的优异成绩。据说去年那个SKYPE组几乎所有
组员都MATCH上了。其次要考虑到其他临床科室申请的严峻性。由于美国医学院扩招，
加勒比海医学院扩招，导致内科，神经科，外科等临床科室MATCH形势严峻，所谓2015
大限的说法就是根据这个现实。不可谓没有一点道理。否则JAMA杂志也不会随便发表这
个文章。

然而病理的申请形势却有所不同。由于受传闻中就业形势的影响，AMG申请病理的人数
持续下降，2010年一共有 503 个病理的PGY1,, 327 filled by US senior。 2014 年
597病理的PGY1, 256 filled by US senior。今年根据我们病理小组SKYPE的讨论，尤
其是根据密歇根大学病理系的那封著名的据信分析，US senior很有可能会少于200个.

2016 51% img match 在纽约
对于外国毕业生来说评分系统里step 1 &step2 分数是最重要的。签证政策改变对有绿
卡公民身份的同学是有优势的。
Soap主要为美国学生设立但是也有img 成功。
如何查看项目是否有soap名额？ 看往年nrmp match outcome项目是否招满，如有
unfilled position基本都有soap机会。
所有有资格的同学都会收到soap 邮件，与你是否match成功无关。
教训：不能只看内科或者病理，其他的科目也可以试试申请。当然ps 和推荐信要与专
科相关。Ps 对soap比较重要。
3/12 match results。 R3 12点左右开始， 大家可以看到所有项目的soap位置。大约
有150 (以前，今年只有45个名额)名额可以申请。总共有三轮。不要一次申满150个名
额。要看有内部关系的项目，尽量发动connection，如果项目能看到你的简历，很快就
能面试。内部推荐往往是优先的。首先要决定专业；其次看有联系的项目。往年有中国

1，病人压根就没退
2，病人退了，没开封，amz直接加到fillable的数量里去了
3，病人退了，开封了，但是amz既没加到fillable里面也没加到unfillable里面……
4，病人退了，开封了，amz加到unfillable里面去了（这种情况就不用说了）
