Pac10 champion despite winning only 6 games in the regular season.
That Rose bowl was the final college game as a player for UCLA's
walk-on QB Rick Neuheisel. Neuheisel was actually benched earlier
that season but got the starting job back after his replacement
suffered an injury. Neuheisel won the Rose bowl MVP award as he
led unranked UCLA to a 45-9 blow-out victory over heavily favored
#4 Illinois.

简单说
Rank 1-50 First Tier
Rank 51-100 Second Tier
Rank 101-150 Third Tier (but listed alphabetically without individual
ordering within the tier)
Rank 151-200 Fourth Tier (same listing approach as Tier 3).
很明显，三四流大学基本都能保持在全美前200以内的，相对总的4，5千所学校来说，
这是个不错的地位了。
准确地说PWU 是属于unranked univ.你要翻译成不入流也可以接受， |

分校在内的5所大学承认自己去年综合排名的数据申报有误，引起了舆论一片哗然。当
前，U.S.News已经将他们从最佳大学排名中紧急“除名”，学校资料卡中已将其列为“
未评级unranked”状态。
U.S.News大学排名的评估主要由以下7个方面组成，分别是：本科学术声誉、留校率、
教学质量、学生筛选率、资金来源、毕业率表现和校友捐赠率。
在大学的排名榜单中出现数据造假，并非今年才有。
有分析人士认为，大学的数据大部分都是靠大学自行提供，全凭自觉，且U.S.News很难
对学校提供的数据做详细的核查，这也是困扰各大排名机构最大的限制所在。

已经同意了第一个学校的oral offer了，第二个更好的学校面完了，听说我已经有
offer了，
假期也紧急开会给我发offer了，说是dean已经同意了，等过了春假就发offical
关键是有第三个学校也要电面我了。第三个学校专业排名三十左右，前两个学校的
offer，一个综合80，专业100开外，一个综合200，专业unranked。
怎么办啊？第三个学校排名看上去很理想。跟师兄姐差不多，除了location还是很想去
的。
可是前面两个offer还能拖么？尤其第一个已经口头答应了。虽然系主任建议我收到正
式之前继续面试。 |

发帖数: 988 | 26 今天是十几个人一起面，每人四轮，四个人应该都是不同的组。估计应该是挂在第二轮
一个老中手里。。但其他的估计也没看好的。废话不多说。。
1。两个stack实现queue，这个题做过，感觉答的很顺
2。老中，给一个linked list，但是不是只link到next，还link到其他位置，要求copy
这个list
3.也是熟题，f（n）=f(n-1)+f(n-2)+f(n-3)
4.设计UI，一个页面，随机不同位置安排广告，不考虑时间因素。。
感觉除了第二个题其他三个题都答的不错，可能是第二个题挂了，因为我说的思路面试
官不满意，他说了一个，我又没整明白，最后浪费了好多时间，还是按照我的思路写的
，然后时间太紧没写好。但思路还是写出来了。。
也有可能今天的候选人都比较优秀。。我看邮箱半数以上是常青藤来的。。我这种
unranked的水校半路出家转CS不到一年的被刷也很正常。。
Anyway。。今年的找工作告一段落了。。还好实习的地方给口头offer了。。虽然第一
年不能办绿卡。。但离毕业还有半年时间，应该还能继续找着。。或许吧。。
这里我有个困惑。技术是要往全面的方向发展呢，还是往深层发... 阅读全帖 |

发帖数: 3204 | 32 AP只能抵相应的课程，比如calc, econ，chem1, bio1这些
不过好学校的基础课程教的比AP难太多，你用AP抵了学分跳过了基础课，大一直接上
orgo和multivariable calc，biochem这些二年级课程，面对的都是已经在大学里面适
应了的大二学生，GPA肯定拿不了很高
进名校的学生全是8-10个AP加身，但是聪明的孩子就会重新念一遍基础课程，巩固知识
，对GPA也有帮助
还有就是现在大多数学校都开AP课，我个人不觉得magnet school有什么特别优势
不过一个competitive的高中最能帮助学生的一点就是不应该rank GPA。。。在加州好
的高中基本都是unranked，讨论4.3还是4.4更好是没有意义的事情

whitman high 竟然是unranked, zillow上竟然只有8分。是不是这个学校堕落了？

后碗赛又狂爆对手的球队，就因为走了RR和STEVE SLATON（当然还有像OWEN SCHMIT这
样工兵型的简单好用球员），开赛才四周，就已经输了两场，还都是输给UNRANKED的球
队。昨晚看见BILL STEWART一脸苦大仇深地在SIDELINE上踱步，突然想起了一些事情。
02年功勋教练SPURRIER离开我们以后，校方临时抓了RON ZOOK来顶班。当时大家对
GATORS依旧是非常看好的：01年赛季就差一口气去打全国冠军赛（若不是拉灯大叔，我
们就会在9月初田纳西伤兵满营的时候与之交战，而不是常规赛季最后一场和实力齐整
的VOLS过招，最后2分惜败无缘全国冠军赛），赛后碗赛我们还是在ORANGE BOWL横扫
ACC冠军MARYLAND，当年的HEISMAN RUNNER-UP毛人ROSSMAN和后来的叛将BROCK BERLIN
两个QB轮流出彩。所以虽然SPURRIER选择离去，继任者ZOOK也没什么令人信服的执教经
历，当时舆论还是觉得，凭借SPURRIER留下的家底，UF还是能 |

。他们今年不声不响，刚刚打掉了Tenessee和Arkansas，士气正旺；反观UF刚刚打完几
场硬仗，队伍得不到修整，而且现在就开始谈论NC，已有骄兵之气。
06年主场UF靠一个block FG赢了南卡（我在现场），已经损了RP；加上前几场大胜，人
品耗尽。这场我看好South Carolina，像05年一样，代表UT，UGA和FSU教训一下不可一
世的Gator。
Gator不必丧气，这场输了，还是可以打SEC决赛，接下来即使大比分输了FSU跟Alabama
，还是可能成为一个unrank的4负队去打BCS bowl，不也算创造了历史嘛！
