no.. different stage.
it might be the hardest part. it's why it took me half year to understand it
, and half year to get it (wow.. almost).
if u didn't use it right, you'll easily hook and top the ball (if you turn
upbody too fast), or slice the ball, (if the upbody turns too slow.)
it needs an upright swing plane, a solid swing thought of inside-out, and
absolute good coordination among hip, shoulder and wrists.

讲的太精辟了。我每次turn的时候都是通过扭hip来达到counter rotate,然后再turn.
难怪看我滑雪像扭秧歌一样。。。
原来是要通过手和肩来lead turn,然后才有slight hip rotation。最近一期ski
magazine里pg56, Michael Rogan讲解Ted Ligety滑雪动作时也说到这一点:
“Lead with the arm - by driving his inside arm and shoulder forward, Ligety
keeps his upper body pointing slightly to the outside of his turn. It's the
position of strength and stability.”
还有个问题问下,你在22楼最后一个comment "4. Slight upbody rotation"是说我
upbody rotate太多了吗?谢谢!

所以countered position是果而不是因.

it's the same issue as I discussed yesterday.
the reason that those tour players are able to generate the tremendous power
is from this motion. they fix the right heel's movement to create the lag
between hip rotation and shaft rotation..when i hit irons, and i need some
power, i do the same.
the problem for me is, if I want to have more driving distance, to be harder
to coordinate the shoulder rotation. it means my low body could over-race
my upbody which cause slice, mos

for the 2nd paragraph of your statement, i would say it's what I understood
in the 2 years ago..i even taught some friends that they could break 90s by
just swinging by hip rotation, with upbody/arm following.
now I would say, it won't make the swing consistent either. the typical
mishit would be push , push slice.
look closely some swing motion of tour players, focus on the contact moment,
and look at the right forearm muscle, you'll see , it does need the power
from forearm to hit further, and

也很难你说的对不对,或者对我来说就是不对。
因为到这个阶段了,没什么统一标准, whatever it takes to work , stick on it.
比如说,downswing这个,downswing能多快有arm/shoulder rotation决定的,它和hip
rotation之间的timing是关键。如果我hip rotation不是那么快的,我downswing的动
作10之8、9会讲球pull it out..而我的hip rotation是由我的爆发力决定的,如果我
有很好的爆发力,我这个动作绝对能讲球送到近300码的地方。
关于重心移动, i gotta tell you, this part is my favoriate one..首先我不承认
我有重心移动,另外是,你看到我有个upright的upbody, 而且我的balance 相当相当
好,按照我的搭档scotty 的话说, LJ can hold his position up to 4 hours.
我身体没有reverse c, 我很高兴这点, 这意味着我的背不会因此suffer,特别是长

Up and lower body separation doesn't necessarilty solve backseat problem.
And up-unweighting itself has nothing to do with back seat problem. The key
is, when you stand up and unweight your skis, you need to either move your
body forward or pull your feet back and under your body. By doing this, you
elimiate the backseat issue and maintain a foward postion, which enables you
to move your upbody diagonally (10 o'clock or 2 o'clock direction mentioned

我也来讲讲我的陋见吧,探讨一下,呵呵
我截了你在0:09的视屏,讲讲我的看法:
1. too much tip lead导致你的小腿和ski几乎是垂直的.没有足够的ankle flex to
load the tip of the inside ski.
2. Back Seat: 有后座的现象
3. Your inside hand drops behind. It should lead the turn.
4. Slight upbody rotation.
你仔细看一下你贴的3个视屏,仔细看他们inside pole and inside arm position:
move your inside arm and pole forward to lead the turn. 再仔细看一下他们
inside leg的位置.3个人pull their inside leg back and tuck their inside leg

不会吧? 你滑了两双鞋了会不知道 Good Form? Quiet Upbody 等等。
对我来说,问题是在雪况不好或害怕的时候会出现 初学者的wedge。那天滑双黑的时候
感觉很明显。
