有人说普通人看不懂张益唐的文章，有人反驳说这是神化数学。
还说，一个普通人花20年时间学习，再请人教，就可以看懂。
我认为这种说法反映了一个普遍存在的现象。大多数人都可以
接受体力上限，不接受智力上限。比如，如果我说，对于
99.99%的普通人来说，即使从小就天天接受专业训练，也成不
了Usain Bolt， 100米跑不到10秒以下。99.99%的普通人从小
天天接受专业训练也成不了Michael Phelps。我相信大多数人
都会接受这个说法。但是，如果我说99.99%的普通人即使从出
生就接受专业辅导，一辈子也看不懂望月新一的文章，许多人
就不会买账。因为他们不承认智力上的上限。其实，我认为从

我这个智力上限用的不是很准确。正如一些回复所说，智力分不同的方
面，就好象体育能力也分不同的方面一样。Usain Bolt 游泳不一定好，
Michael Phelps 跑100米也破不了10秒。我这个帖子只是想让一些人意
识到，人与人在智力上（反映在不同方面）的区别类似于人与人在体能
上（反映在不同方面）的区别，有些鸿沟同样难以逾越。回头想起来，
可能用“天赋”这个词比较准确。当初没有用“天赋”这个词，是因为
“天赋”在体能和智能上都可以用。而我主要是想强调智能上的“赋”。
有人说体能上的差别可以从Physiology上得以证明，但智能上的差别没
有方法证明。我推荐一本书，【Connectdome】，

大学生男篮锦标赛。他们说，现在剩下的一号种子都不多了。我马上可以接上话，说，
噢吧马这厮不是说过，他预测四个赛区的一号种子最后会进入全国半决赛吗？现在匹兹
堡和杜克都载了。一个同事说，是啊，Y就是胡扯，你叫Coach K (杜克的主教练，也是
美国国家男篮的主教练)退休之后也去fill 一个 bracket试试，估计和我fill的也差不
多。
我印象最深的是，我2000年8月份面试我的第一份工作。中午一个VP带我去吃午饭。我
知道他是佛罗里达大学毕业的，于是就狂赞他们去年用两个四分卫轮着上的战术很牛很
牛，对方的defensive coordinator一点招都没有啊。说得VP心花怒放，我的offer也就
