USC could be back to the big picture if:
1. they win out
2. ND/Cal/Oregon win out except losing to USC
under that scenario, USC will be almost for sure ranked #2 on computer
ranking (behind OSU/Michigan winner).
and if USC's average human poll ranking is close to OSU/Michigan loser and
WVU/LOU/Rugers winner....we would have a messed picture for #2...
of course lots of if,,but there is hope..

变成球迷的YY游戏。Big 10其实这几年一直在走下坡路，除了OSU. Pac 10比Big 10稍
微强一些，USC一直独领风骚。
OSU靠着weak conf schedule， 2006年和michigan保持不败，大家都觉得这个队应该很
强，搞得OSU对michigan是当年最值得关注的常规赛。No 1 vs No 2. 可是这个两个队
在BCS的表现真是大跌眼镜。OSU 和 michigan都大输给florida 和 USC.
2007年，媒体开始清醒,不再那么fan Big 10, 尤其是OSU. 可是这年的upset太多，No
2 的交椅换过很多，OSU再一次靠着week schedule杀出重围，只输给illinois一场，进
入NC.其实这一年，以我个人的意见，LSU和geogia 是最强的两个对。虽然他们同属于
SEC,却没有机会打。USC大比分击败illinois. 其实USC rose bowl的对手应该是OSU,
而不是illinois.

原因有意控制教练工资水平。密西根和哈包谈到学校开出的薪资底线就是700万附近。
2012年开始USC的体育年收益大约8500万，已经跌至全国20开外的水平线。以目前USC的
年收益来看，USC所雇用主教练年薪绝不会超过450万，所以根本不可能够到Jimbo这种
全国前15位年薪水平的教练，更不可能请动NFL老鹰KELLY。当前全国前10足球大校都可
以开出600万以上年薪换教练，德州可以开到800万教练薪资水平。所以，USC很长一段

不那么聪明勤奋但有钱的人去USC
不那么聪明勤奋并且穷的人去UCLA
以上虽然是谚语
但真实情况的确是，USC大部分学生家庭背景非富即贵，算得上是贵族学校，Asian-
American占23%；UCLA大部分学生是贫困家庭出身，算得上是穷人学校，Asian-
American占40%。校友NETWORK从来都是USC更强。
如果比ACADEMIC方面的能力，对MBA PROGRAM来说，UCLA更强。但是说USC在烂区所以
UCLA“好挺多的”，“天地之别”，不知道你这里比的是什么？ |

没听说过什么时候UCLA能跟BERKELEY相提并论的
至于PROGRAM的排名，不同PROGRAM有不同的排名
USC不少学生毕业之后根本不找工作，人家都是继承家族企业的，随便提携几个校友也
是常事。
UCLA的毕业生才需要满世界去找工作。
加州天气全国第一好，黄金海岸，无数人还想挤来加州找工作呢。USC的学生毕业后根
本不想离开加州，在加州找不到好工作的人才需要去其他地方工作。
你说得没错，USC就是南加的地头蛇，占据了全美最好的风水。 |

关于不同PROGRAM的排名，我刚刚也说了，不同PROGRAM有不同的排名
关于MBA，我们可以看一下USNEWS的B-SCHOOL排名：
STANFORD B-SCHOOL排第二，仅次于HARVARD；
BERKELEY排第8；
UCLA排名16；
USC排名21

知总是停留在某一个位置，不会因为今年它排名高一些了就觉得它更好一些，明年低一

无论排名如何，UCLA与USC在同一个档次，STANFORD和BERKELEY在同一个档次，这在美
国大众心目中是不会变的。如果你去找工作，UCLA的背景还是USC的背景，对招聘的公

死者的EE系也是）全美排名第11，还不错了。USC master 27个学分可以毕业，一个学
分$1800,总共5万刀学费，还好了。 |

原因么，有所谓的惯性，它在一个上升曲线上，虽然这几年慢下来了，但是上升的势头
还会持续。申请的学生的学业水平也越来越高，这个不会突然停止的。
USC的捐款随着经济恢复会有相对乐观的进展，相比下公立学校的财政危机可能不是近
期可以解决的。当然排在USC前面的公立也就是Berkeley了（20），UCLA及Virginia今
年与它并列（23）。USC在近几年排名(US NEWS)上甩开UCLA应该只是个时间问题。
至于能不能进前20，还有很多问题要解决，主要是钱。 |

美国搞HITECH得先进。美国学生里象Qualcom的co-funder和Apple早期的co-funder这样的
有好几十。
我觉得USC的工程不是他的强想，象电影，communication,law (some profs are
famous), accounting好像更强。 |

一看就不是UNIV OF CHICAGO这个学校的人。
1。应该比的，SAT分数。
我们要看到 USC 的长足进步。在2001年，USC 新生SAT 25%-75% 是1220-1410，
这几年75%那条线长了50分(如果数据属实的话)。不知道这位风舞狂沙同学有没有
最新的UCHICAGO和 HARVARD的SAT 数字，但是至少在2001年， UC 是1300-1480，
HARVARD是 1380-1570，明显比USC高一块的。
2。数据有问题的。。
rank #1 是全年级还是全班？USNEWS的 RANK用的是HIGHSCHOOL CLASS，应该是班。
用班做单位的话，TOP 1%肯定是 #1了。用年级做单位的话，16%是年级第一？可信吗？
3。不应该比的。。
1 和公立学校比生源。。。这点不用解释吧。公立学校的学生主要是来看
football 的，Fall 学期的 enrollment 往往比 Spring 大不少。
