UTH来的一封信，内容大致如下：

Doctoral Tuition Scholarship for Fall 2010. The scholarship award is $5000,
which is available over a 12-month period during the first tewlve months.
The school will pay for the tuition and fees up to the award maximum stated

Besides, I consider the factors other than academic too. Actually, people
say that the city of pittsburgh is safer than the city of houston, and for
me as a northerner, I prefer to live in Pittsburgh...
Anyway, if UTH TMC doesn't have any famous professor or other attractive
points, I will choose pittsburgh~~
What do you think of future career develop in both of the programs? My
opinion is Pittsburgh is close to East Coast where there are m |

发帖数: 29 | 5 你面试所有给你机会的医学院以后，如果医学院给你PRE-OFFER，你需要在规定日期
之前RANK你打算去的医学院。比如你有UTSA,SW,UTH的PRE-OFFER，你最想去的顺序是
SW,UTH和UTSA。在MATCH 日时候你只得到了UTH，那你只能去UTH。然后在规定日期日期
之前你的答复UTH是否还想去，而且其他的都必须DROP掉。这时候如果还有空余，或许
WAITLING LIST 里的人还有机会出来。至于你最想去的SW，如果真有别人DROP了或许
你也有机会。但目前因为你没有PRE-OFFER，一切都只能看别人。只有当学校发出的
PRE-OFFER真的最后有空缺，你才有可能。
德州对PRE-MATCH和MATCH都有严格规定，最后拿到OFFER不去会直接影响以后所有德州
医学院的申请，所以学校发出的PRE-OFFER最后空缺到没有PRE-OFFER的人递补的可能行
很小。
既然你申请了州内所有医学院只拿到两个面试，或许你需要看你自己申请PACKAGE是否
有什么问题了。一般RICE，UT靠前的学生申请，都会拿到差不多全部申请的面试。别

发帖数: 1 | 13 回国转租5月和6月的parqueview 1b1b（六月末到期可接手续租)，602 feet。位于医学
中心，出门便是60路公交车或uth校车，向东走路15分钟到kroger超市，西走20分钟
fiasta，target，ross。
列数优点如下：
1.二楼，安静，地毯干燥（休斯顿很潮，有些小区一楼都是湿漉漉的），我是第一任，
维持得比较干净，有小阳台，可以种些花花草草。
2.小区环境优美（我很喜欢小区里的公共游泳池）
3.比较安全，听说过附近uthousing和hollyhall有抢劫，但至少我住的这段时间这个小
区没出过事，可能由于是商业出租，物业比较负责。物业负责收包裹，不用担心上班无
法收包裹。
4.交通便利（如果你没车，这点很重要，休斯顿的公交系统你懂得）
5。一个月租金834（可刀)，在医学中心比较便宜了，当然不能跟合租比，也不能跟
uthousing比（uthousing的房间需要明年一月登记排队，转租的话可能房间非常脏，一
期的房子蟑螂很多）
6.宽敞一厅一卧室，walk in 衣橱
7.拎包入住，有电有网，床，家具会留给你。

个月保质期，至少可以维持一阵子。我不拍你，因为我也怕。。。吃进去的内辐射和外
界辐射还是有本质区别的。 |

自从去年拿到生物硕士，在医学中心找到一个technician的工作至今，深感生物硕士男
的悲哀，工资低不说，以后的发展很渺茫。也试图换工作，奈何休斯顿药厂少。也计划
着转行，GRE和托福都过期了，现在需要重新考，本人27了。一想到转行从考g和t,到申
请学校到读书，又是至少五年，就觉得对不起老婆，她每天辛苦上班，还计划要孩子。
目前信息量十分有限，自己目前打算的出路就是申请rice的物理或统计的硕士，都需要
花费很大。休大由于学校不如rice好，感觉读出来找工作又多了一道槛，所以没太考虑
。医学院的好专业比如physician assistant需要有绿卡才能申请。本人不计划离开休
斯顿，老婆工作不错还稳定，知道该版上牛人多，还望指教。谢谢。
