2012年加拿大华人排球邀请赛正式接受报名。本次比赛由加拿大华人排球协会举办。本
活动的宗旨是给广大的排球爱好者提供一个以球会友欢聚一堂的机会。由于活动的非盈
利性质，所有的组织者和工作人员皆为义工。 本次比赛分为男子组和女子组。比赛时
间定于2012年4月14日，9：00 – 18：00，
地点是多伦多大学世家宝分校体育馆，http://www.utsc.utoronto.ca/~advancement/find/。报名采用先到先得的原则，名额满即为报名结束。为了让所有的参赛队有更多的交流，在小组赛结束后将分上，下两个半区继续比赛。积分高的前8个队进入上半区争夺本届邀请赛的冠亚军。其余的队进入下半区，也有冠亚军的决赛和奖品。本届比赛的参赛费用为每队$170CAD。需要说明的是今年的场馆费用比去年增加了25%，时间增加了1小时，所以我们可以打下半区的决赛。

programs in universities in Canada. For finance, the programs in UBC and
UToronto are pretty good. But it is still hard to find a job in US for them.
I just heard that one guy from UBC got a job in UCLA, and Long Chen from
UToronto now is the associate professor in WUSTL. |

兰骑士在西班牙南部参加了当地人和穆斯林的战争。

下师兄师姐的建议。我是高能物理方向，对以后没什么很明晰的打算，应该很大的可能
继续做物
理。但听说要做物理faculty很难，高能要做几期Post，还是有所忌惮的。
首先，我很想了解下这两所学校粒子物理方面的实力，不知师兄师姐听别人讲过没。从
网站上
看，似乎Purdue有几个70多岁的大牛，但似乎有些青黄不接的感觉，听师兄说有做CMS
做的不错
的。关于Toronto 的高能实力我不太了解，也是我很想知道的，但我感觉不能期待加拿
大那种国
家在高能物理方面有多好。如果师兄对Toronto在高能方面有所耳闻的话，还请师兄帮
助。我也想
知道U Toronto其他物理方面的实力，比如在什么方向比较强。
其次，从学校名气上看，似乎Toronto更出名些，而且地理位置好，如果以后不做物理
，应该在加
拿大找工作要比Purdue毕业后好找些，不知道我的这种感觉是不是对。另外，各种大学
排名中似
乎U Toronto似乎都比较好，不知道真有那样好。。。。不知道加拿大那边的研究会不
会比较水，

school that they have enough ,ones to pay the new hire until this person
retires. Therefore it’s a very stable job, super competitive. Only when 1-
2 professors retire will release enough money for a new hire (salary
compression)
2. They prefer to hire Canadians who’s done postdocs at places like
Stanford/Harvard. Especially the top ones (UToronto, McGill, UBC) |
