The main question is your career prospects. Pepsi is a well known brand.

周二公布的医院排名，纽约拥有多间全国最好的儿科医院，当中最好的，是纽约市长老
会儿童医院。
《每日新闻》网站报道，纽约长老会的摩根士丹利—科曼斯基儿童医院(Morgan
Stanley-Komansky Children’s Hospital)在10个医学专科调查之中，全部获评为优秀
——全国110间受调查的医院之中，只有22间有同样成绩。而且，该医院也是新生儿科
、心血管内科和心脏手术，以及糖尿病内分泌的全国十强。
纽约长老会儿童医院的首席执行官考文说：「全项目优秀的成绩令人感到兴奋。你
希望孩子能在纽约得到很好的照顾，我们能够做到的，令我十分感到自豪。」
考文表示，医院将继续推动小儿神经科及癌症护理和研究的发展。
此外，上东城的西奈山克拉维斯儿童医院(Mount Sinai’s Kravis Children’s

La Mesa西面靠 Univ & El Cajon Blvd. 的也不是很好，有点乱。 靠Grossmont那块还
行，购物方便， 典型美国中产区。 东面Mt. Helix以及Fletcher Hills就不错了，基
本都是custom home， 和tudoudou说的Del Cerro有点相似，地大，很多有view的房子,
还有很多estate-type homes. 房价50-100多万吧。学区嘛，中国人肯定是不认可的，
不去CV或Poway是不行的。 不过按地区来看， 个人认为Mt Helix最好的
学校组合是： Fuerte Elementary-Hillsdale Middle-Valhalla High。 |

发帖数: 236 | 22 99年的，下了以后一直没有热情看，昨晚终于花时间补了课。感觉还可以，特别是对欧洲
文明进行了无情的讽刺^_^当巴格达的国王们住在宏大壮丽的皇宫时，北欧的国王们住在
小木屋里面。在文化上，当阿拉伯人可以draw sounds的时候，北欧人估计连文字
都还没有。卫生习惯上，当时的欧洲人居然多人混用一盆水洗脸加漱口，Ahmed当时惊讶
的表情就跟欧洲人后来看到土著一样;)
故事的情节则比较单调，人物塑造也较单薄，13个warriors没有一个高大全的人物。不过
影片的音乐还不错，结尾的时候warriors的誓词也很悲壮。

协会最近有个名单，只有名单上合格的学校才有认证资格，才可以在德州做住院医。他
给我的名单上中国无一所医学院校合格。请看附件。按此类推，我们就全部无法申请德
州的program了。请大家核实并求助。

从踏上这条路后，从本版得益良多，趁着记忆犹新写个总结，感谢所有帮助过我的前辈
朋友战友们，
也希望对即将踏上这条路或已在路上的同学们有些帮助。
先来说说申请时的credentials，以及分析下拿到或没拿到面试的原因。
毕业院校：国内二流五年制本科
毕业时间： 13年，有些长了，导致没拿到有些预期的面试。在面试中也被问到毕业年
限太长的问题，还好准备了答案，另我长相比我实际年龄小很多（作为男性有点悲哀…
），平时经常被LD开涮，这次幸好糊弄过关。
成绩： Step 1和2都是220-230，CS一次过，step 3还没考。备考不充分考分有点低，
导致没拿到有些预期的面试。不过在面试中也被夸了作为IMG考分不错，也许是客套话
，来年或后年申请的同学们考分以240以上为佳。
PhD在美国拿的，现在一家知名医院做临床前期的博士后训练。我觉得这两项对我的病
理申请是关键。
做了不少年科研，发过些小文章得过些小奖，CV看起来应该还靠谱。

其说是“风险小”列表，不如说是“房子难涨地区列表”。试论证一二：
1. 常言道“强者恒强，弱者恒弱”。NYC, SF地区房价高企不是一年两年了，支撑房价
的不是那个affordability的percentage，而是能afford的人口数和房子总数的比例。
这里看百分比是没有多大意义的。只要还有人能买得起还愿意买，即使affordability
只有15%又如何呢？
