1. Even you have a perfect skill sets combination of accounting &
database, you still can't make 6 figures in most states unless you get to
manager position.
2. How close you current position to this highly specialized area? If you
are too far away, forget about this. Normally, career grow in baby steps,
not by big turn or jumps. This back to my point in my upper post, 60% of
your success is decided by strategy and planning. No short cut.

首先不是什么牛人，资智平平，要不然也不会在年过而立才明晰自己的career。其实回
想起来，最混沌的几年是在博后的时候，有力不知道往哪儿使。读博时一心一意想进
industry，知道fresh很难所以铁心要进一个好的博后组以弥补平平的博士学校然后伺
机进入industry。博士只念了四年，没料到因为当年工业界的H1B很紧俏博后一做做了
三年。由于在Ivy的圈子里做科研，眼界宽了人也浮燥起来，人生从有既定目标变的迷
惘起来，不知道该学什么也不知道最后会去哪儿。所以学什么都动力不足，半途而废了
不少知识，什么备考CFA备考GRE数学乱七八糟的努力都是内心剧烈斗争的产物。最后找
工作生物生统生物信息同时开找，书到用时方恨少，电面人一问三不知，立刻悲剧了。
最惨的一次是被一组bioinfo的人电面，除了统计得心应手，剩下有关蛋白什么的因为
没干过一窍不通。一心一意要离开传统生物，没想到递了二十多份简历到头来还是因为
遗传的背景谋到一份industry的工作。话说回来，如果自己不精于统计和编程，也许这
