of two satellites Tuesday because of unsatisfactory weather conditions in
west-central California.
The scheduled launch of CloudSat and CALIPSO -- Cloud-Aerosol Lidar and
Infrared Pathfinder Satellite Observations -- from Vandenberg Air Force Base,
Calif., was scrubbed shortly before 6 a.m., EDT, due to higher than allowable
upper level wind conditions.

美国太平洋时间 6 月 25 日周日，载有 10 颗通讯卫星的猎鹰 9 号火箭从位于加州的

Mystery 'missile' launch near L.A. no threat to national security,
government officials say
Military and aviation officials say they don't know who may have
launched a mysterious object spotted in the sky late Monday off the
Southern California coast, but said that whatever the projectile was, it
did not pose a threat to national security.

早就听说加州一号公路沿岸风景美奂绝伦，难得一见，即将踏上旅程走进这神奇的画境的
激动心情让我着实激动了好一阵子。从洛杉矶直上圣何塞的路程不过三百多英里，如果走
五号公路的话只需要5个小时的车程，而绕道一号，我们却足足开了有九个多小时，不过
一路走下来，却觉得真是不虚此行，如果再有机会，我真是愿意花上几天的时间好好品味
每一处的风景，感受每一缕宜人的海风。
我们晚上9点多从洛杉矶出发，因为晚上也看不到什么景色，所以我们选择走101号公路，
留宿小镇隆波克(Lompoc)。Lompoc是个极为普通而节奏舒缓的小镇，因附近的凡登堡(
Vandenberg AFB)空军基地而为人所知。第二天我们从Lompoc出发，直接上一号公路，一
号公路在这里离海岸还有一段距离，再经过了小镇Guadalupe之后才延伸向海边，开始了
加州阳光海岸的旅途。在这里不得不说一下小镇Guadalupe，一个充满古朴气息的小镇，
古老的街道，古老的建筑，和一些纪念越南战争的遗迹，残旧的Cafe，和悠闲的人们， |

designed to help unlock the secrets of Earth's cloud cover, due to technical
problems, officials said early Thursday.
The CloudSat and CALIPSO satellites were scheduled to blast off at 10h02 GMT
