差不多。
A，男，在读音乐系大学生。用的Suzuki教材，但不是certified suzuki teacher。他
提出孩子小应该从每次课20分钟开始。他在当地一个很不错的活动中心教过一些小孩子。
B，女，音乐教育本科毕业（弦乐专业），是两所公立学校的乐队和提琴指导（不知道是
中学还是小学）。她建议用Essential Elements for String: Violin教材（但我看了
下，好像是更适合大些孩子或成人初学者的教材），另外辅助用Suzuki。每次课30分钟。
C，女，弦乐硕士毕业(viola)，是certified suzuki teacher。据她说很有耐心和经验对初学
的小孩子。教过三岁半的孩子。她出身音乐世家，一大家子祖辈父辈都是musician。每
次课30分钟。是我们这个城市的一个交响乐团的替补小提琴手。

with DMA （Doctor of Musical Arts) in this May, from a good music
conservatory in East Coast.
He told me several factors that a violin teacher likes
1. good ears. Violin is different from piano. If a student is not very
sensitive to the pitch （音高），then he may have more challenges in
learning it.
2. younger students will be easier to master the posture, 3 to 6 years is
the ideal age to start violin.

decades and is still going on in China.
2,The cover and the introductory paragraph of the book reminds me of a movie
made in 1998, The Red Violin. I thought it could be just another
reincarnation story the cursed violin made by Nicolo Bussotti. But I'm glad

他说找不到人很可能是pay太少. 我觉得他也有他的道理。
violin 老师自己每天也要练琴， 而且练琴的时间是没有工资的,
除非他在乐团或学校有薪水很不错的工作. 一把好的小提琴，得有一万美金的预算，十
万以上的也有，这琴也是他们谋生的成本啊。
大家都不是傻瓜，所以那些violin拉的好的老师是很会挑学生的，没有天赋的，
仅仅有银子的，估计不到穷的没有办法，这种学生能不要就不要。到时候没有满意的教
学成果，就不值了。
既然教学挣钱不够多, 所以有拉violin的干脆去学作曲，或者是指挥，还有开乐器行，
甚至Physical Therapy的我都碰到过。毕竟那些职业比较挣钱一些。
做老师也不容易，他们每天下午教学，如果一个小时$60, 从4点到8 点，能有多少钱？
周末都排满，还得自己付健康保险和social security 的钱。还有，violin学生得有钢
琴伴奏，那么伴奏的人员也要付钱的。 除非是violin老师自己会弹piano, 那么老师
每天还得练钢琴，又要１小时吧？练琴可是体力活，不象某些工作那么轻松。... 阅读全帖 |

Style is a little different, i changed all the strings on 350$ violin,
Guess what, the wood is very good on the old 350$ violin,
I really like the quality of the wood,after changing the strings, I toned it
by myself.
I figured that out!!!
Will use it for now....I am studying violin making.... Still shop around for
future use. |

years old. It drove me crazy to hear the request "mommy, play with me" for
thousands of times each day.
I was not musical and can not read sheet music when we started. But it is
more fun than Lego and train table. He made up rules that totally "unfair"
when playing his toys. Since violin teacher is the adult authority, he
assumed I am the authority to "play" violin automatically.

But violin can start at 3.5 year old. If you read Suzuki's "Nurtured by Love
", that is the age he take his student.
We are sticking to violin also because it works for both of us now. I worked
in IT and a lot of work has to be done after stock market is closed. My
husband cannot cook. So they have to wait for me to come home cook dinner.

13th song of suzuki book 1. He likes violin much more than piano. He can
play two hours violin each day but he is only willing to practice piano for
15 to 30 minutes. He does not like to follow the piano instruction ( esp.
the fingering positions). He can play all violin songs on the piano by
listening.
I think that piano is good in term of helping my son read music notes. But

As far as I know, many violin teachers also sell violins and they will also
do trade-in for used ones (when your kids grow up). They got violins from
professional makers. |

I have 300$ credit from renting the 3/4 violin, so ,
If a brand new 4/4 violin sales price is 999$, I can buy it for 700$.
If I don't buy it, 300$ credit is gone.
She tried the 350$ 4/4 violin today, seems OK, sounds better than 3/4 violin
anyway.
The sound is deeper and nicer...if the size is bigger.
