的 Orchestra Concert 。（原谅我用英文吧，我实在翻译不好这些名词）
先是 6年级的学生演奏。接下来是 Chamber Orchestra 的演出。Chamber Orchestra
是6、7、8三个年级里挑出来的学生组成的。听着看着，然后发现，这其中，黑头发黄
皮肤的占大多数，得有三分之二。
再下来是7、8年级合演。舞台上都坐满了，总共将近90个学生，很壮观哪。Violin I，
Violin II， Viola，Bass， Cello。很好听。然后7 年级的学生离开，一个8年级的
女生 Violin 独奏，有钢琴伴奏，演完之后掌声雷动，很多听众站了起来在鼓掌，然后
又有很多人也陆续跟着站起来鼓掌，有人给这女生献花。接下来就是Wind Ensemble 走
上舞台坐好，与Orchestra 合演了一支曲子。然后是8年级的学生演奏。最后一曲是7、
8年级合演的。
整个是近1.5 个小时的音乐会。真的感觉很不错。下个周四，是Band Concert 了，包

to tell. He is only good at the stuff I do with him. Hope one day he can
start to find things that is fun by himself.
My point is 1 hour undivided attention from mommy is so great that my son
will walk away and disappear in his toys and not to bother me until he is
hungry or sleepy.
It is almost like you pay your debt forward and you get paid back in the
next 2-3 hours of complete quiet time.

I kind of understand why Lz said that, 3-6, Lz is talking about posture.
For the understanding of music, it is not necessary the younger the better.
Violin is hard,
only for the kids who can tolerant high pitch for a long time.
The smaller the violin, the worse the sound.
How comfortable that can be? I can imagine:)
My daughter's violin teacher ask us to take 45-60 min for a class now, it is
good for her...
I just registered for 45 min for next semester, I do not like to sit there

at penn station near the E train exit, 3 black brothers, one on violin, one
on cello, one on violin or viola, i am not sure, playing classical music!
a lot of ppl give them money!!! even though they play really crappy, the
sound was really scratchy sometimes, but it was something really enjoyable
to see! all they need is an extra violin or viola, and they would have an
ensemble!!! |

FIDDLE和VIOLIN是一个东西，名字不同而已。就乐器本身来讲，仅在琴桥上
稍稍不同。FIDDLE的琴桥稍平，因为FIDDLE多用于演奏FOLK,BLUEGRASS,
ROCK,BLUES,IRISH音乐，里面用到很多DOUBLE STOP和SHUFFLE，所以平一点
的琴桥可以容易些。
VIOLIN一般琴桥稍圆，帮助琴手有更好的准确性。
所以下一次你看到有人在演奏“DEVIL WENT DOWN TO GEORGIA"，你可以
过去问问那个拉小提琴的，看看我说的对不对。 HEHEHE...

(Scott) is cheaper than that in China unless you really know someone who
is making the violin.
If you are already serious about learning, you can make this investment and
sell it for just a little bit less when your kid is growing out of it.
Otherwise just rent one from your local music store.
There are not a lot of local dealers carrying this brand. If you are in CA, you

For student violins, made-in-China ones are more costly effective. And you
have the advantage of buying one from China directly. :-) But you may need a

But I would recommend you use 综合的效果器 since people do use reverb, delay
effect on violin. Distortion, I am not sure, since I think those are
designed for guitars.
And pedal effect, 单块 are also specially desgined for electric guitar and
guitar amp. I don't think it will work well with violin. Most 综合的效果器
have built-in preamp to raise the signal from the pickup to line level, so
you don't need another. |

1. 在海外的老中，自己是靠吃math饭才混到美国的。所以只知道狠命搞娃的math.就能
让娃像自己一样有份饭吃。 比math更牛一点的事，都太虚，所以别碰。

2。内心深处觉得自己没文化，觉得需要用钢琴/小提琴让自己觉得有文化。
笑话是，这么“有文化的”的父母竟然认为其他乐器皆下品，小孩只能搞钢琴/小提琴
。
这就是我们老中的艺术“heritage”， piano/violin-centric culture？

for piano concerto, but fewer for violin concerto.
The Four Great Violin concerto: Von Beethoven' VC No.1 in D major,
Tchkovsky's VC in D major
Mandelson's VC in e flat minor
Brahums's VC (never listern it, but it is said this was only VC he
wrote and first piece he wrote for violin because he didn't have any idea
about this instrument)
Except Mandelson's and Beethoven's VC, the other two are just for Cou4 shu4.

million dollar loan from ivy league schools, if you are very tenured (for
housing). There is a professor who tried to borrowed about a million dollar
to buy a violin arguing that he already has a house, but he really wanted
the violin.
Biologist! Do you know who is this professor? He is way closer contender
for Nobel prize, but I don't think he is going to ever win a Nobel prize (he
is still alive though). |
