Fabulous weather except on Rainier summit. Had to come down from Liberty Cap
in high wind, near zero visibility and snow storm liked condition. Tried to
dig a snow cave to wait it out but it was too icy 2-3 feet down. Cold and
miserable, waiting without a snow cave means certain death. So we kept on
moving guided by GPS and my faint memory of the descent route. Managed to

No, protected is mainly for visiblity in subclasses, although it's also
visible in the same package.
For visibility in the same package only, use default or no descriptor.
