However, I found it actually could not handle multiple state W2s, either. It
is so dumb that it simply adds up the box1 numbers in all W2s. I will have
to do the state return by hand now. :(

years.
In the tax reform in 80s, doctors, lawyers as independent specialists
started paying significantly more tax which were not collected before.

1. if my employer is a good sugar daddy to irs (all the tax records,

给了offer， 也接受了，现在background check 已经2个多星期了。期间，要了户
口所在地派出所，档案存放地址，档案编码（因为没有把小卡片带在身上，无法提供）
给了本科、硕士 学位证证书的复印件的扫描（出国前好在开了2份）。background
check外包给 HireRight, 现在说“found some discrepancies with your employment
”。
我在国内读了2年硕士，在简历上列的Research Assistant，现在让我提供W2s,
paystubs, or proof of employment。可是在国内学校没有这个东西啊。。。学校暑假
，又没人接电话。告诉他们说，我在硕士期间发了paper，可以查paper的address，还
是不行，现在给了硕士导师的联系方式，可是还是没有消息。。。

I just reported income from 3 states. We have 4 W2s.
I reported as part-year resident for one state, combination of part-year and
non-resident for the second state, and non-resident for the third state
Different states has different rules about how to divide the income and
duductions and mostly they are very specific
I didn't understand at the beginning, but after reading the instructions and

it is listed in box10 on one W2 but not listed at all on the other. Also,
according to Tax Cut, the 2000 in box10 indeed increase my total tax payout.
So i am not sure whether my company is wrong (it should be listed) or my
wife's company is wrong (it should NOT be listed) or the Tax Cut is wrong (
it doesn't matter whether it is listed).

leave. The copy must be notarized to be valid for ITIN application.
Then next year, file your Federal tax as soon as you can, as you have to
mail them to a special ITIN office in IRS, can not efile. The package should
contain regular federal tax return materials (W2s + 1040 forms + whatever
needed in your situation), plus W7 forms for each person, plus the notarized
copy of your parents' passport information page.

跟他们提到想要降级的问题，他们说你看怎么弄就怎么好，我说行，我联系律师。
刚才打了至少10个律师楼的电话，5个说不知道怎么弄，建议找其他有经验律师，4个没
有接，最后一个说他们的律师可能知道怎么弄，但是要收我200块钱的咨询费，操你大
爷，都不知道能不能弄就收我200块，死去吧，咨询过程中如果还要我去教导他们查阅
IMMIGRATION ATORNEY ASSOCIATION的note，我这200块钱交的算什么？
在极端绝望的情况下，我再去找HR，HR说，既然这个律师仅仅是准备表格，那么表格我
们自己也可以填，就是签个字的问题，估计像我这种降级的情况，最重要的就是cover
letter，HR的人说可以让我自己写，自己填，自己准备降级的材料，然后他们直接负责
签字，邮寄就可以了。我觉得这也不妨是个很好的办法，毕竟，谁都没有我对自己的事
情比较的上心。

return, just give the ones of previous 3 years.

fine to just submit the previous three years' forms. I used personal check
for no problem. You do need to make sure that you have enough fund on your
checking account because you don't know when USCIS cash your check.
