the potential valuation of Sina Weibo.
Since monetization of Sina Weibo has not started yet, all we know at this
point is the business cost Sina 30 Mil USD with Zero revenue at this point.

believe Tencent's QQ is a better comparison then Facebook.

will move to a new domain at weibo.com, which analysts believe is a possible
indication of a corporate spin-off.
In the meantime, both the new (weibo.com) and the old (t.sina.com.cn)

Sohu also provides search service - sogou, which brings profit for the company.
It is true that sohu missed the chance to start weibo early, however, if sohu does not try weibo, it will be dead fish cause weibo is the future trend.
(Zhangchaoyang's reason for missing weibo is kind of interesting. He thought everything was good at that time and he enjoyed life for about one year or half year, then he found he missed weibo. LOL. Now he is spending every effort to catch up with Sina.) |

Of course people like to share things, and some other fundamental thing
underlying WEIBO are 面子, 虚容心（for example, you can always give yourself
and unofficial title like famous attorney ..etc).
面子 and 虚容心 will drive WEIBO to a bigger success. |

cash. $0.4 billion investment in CRIC and Toudou.com which just recorded a
major impairment during Q3 ER. which means the market valuation for Sina.com
and Weibo.com is just $2.6 billion.
Sina.com itself should be $2.0 billion, which means Weibo.com is valued as
less than $0.6 billion.
As I mentioned in my previous post, Tencent's IVAS is valued at $28 billion.

If this was true, SINA's weibo stake alone would be close to 4B, implying
everything else SINA is worth -1B. Weibo is probably overpriced 100% due to
limited supply.

这个行业最有可能翻几番的公司。
weibo可以说是国内在QQ，百度搜索，淘宝，之后第四个最成功的产品。qq赚钱说白了
就是卖q币，百度就是卖广告，淘宝现在不怎么赚钱，weibo怎么赚钱？卖威币，卖账号
都是尝试，成功不成功很难说，但只要微博继续占据现在的这种行业垄断地位，它总有
尝试对的时候。
我更希望sina挖个高人过来做广告，依仗新浪这种信息分享的架构把这东西设计合理，
而不是跟qq学，靠卖吉利号，模板营生。 |

for the reduction of the ownership. It is simple as Sina selling some asset.
The only question is if Sina sold the part of ownership at a good price.
Agilenet and HP became two completely independent company. The HP share
after the spinoff does not include any ownership of Agilent. While your SINA
ownership also implies partial ownership of Weibo.
If you want to see a comparable example, compare this to EMC and VMWARE.

after IPO SINA "lost" weibo, which is obviously not true. However SINA
price does seem to be in line with this view. Probably weibo is way
overvalued, due to very limited shares on market.

文革在weibo上。
方舟子指认韩寒造假等等举证，完全就是用他自己的信誉去拼掉韩寒的信誉，都知道韩
寒的光环有很多虚名。
可方舟子这人的名。。。相信现在大众肯定也考虑CCTV对方舟子的宣传，是不是言过其
实？为什么要那么崇拜他？
比较文革和方的打假有很多有趣之处：
文革开始：毛主席先弄掉彭真，张闻天，彭德怀，再搞掉刘少奇，然后贺龙、陈毅，谭
震林批斗后病死，接着罗瑞卿跳楼，林彪逃跑摔死，这些人死了还都给安置好罪名批X
批孔的，走XX路线，叛徒，阴谋家等等等等。稍微轻的，邓小平虎口脱险被搞了两次，
周恩来郁郁而终。。。。等等等等
毛主席对对手搞这些罪名，用今天角度看，也是用自己的信用，去拼掉对手的信用，直
接用真理逻辑主义杀对手。
但是pk这些人，就像武林高手对决，是要耗费很多内力，体力的！最后让邓小平运气好
捡了便宜。
方舟子也是，消耗自己的信用，搞掉对手。
方教主这几年搞唐骏，朱学勤，于建嵘，贺卫方，罗永浩，韩寒，刘渝，还有等等其他
