I got a thinkstation D20 and installed Fedora 20 (tried several others, like
opensuse, fedora has the best support for hardware)
After that I installed oracle, and has been fooling around in oracle account.
Then I suddenly realized I no longer can log in as root using my password
anymore, the same happened to another admin user that uses the same password.
I do not think there is an issue with password expiration, but how could
this happen? Someone hacked in?

root. I am using windows XP professional. I immediately deleted the file, and

because the weird IP thing only happens once a week no matter how many
computers are linked to the switch. I tried linking my PC to the internet port
directly when the weird thing happens and it did not solve the problem.

虑的只是differences between means，CLT让这些test在其样本本身不符合高斯分布也
能work well。
但invoke CLT有一个条件，样本不能太小。不过话说回来，又回到原来的discussion，
即test的robustness被进一步证明而已，不是说t statistic不需要normality
assumption。
其实这么说更直观简洁：如果没有非常weird的分布样本数不小于10-15既可放心使用t-
test；如果有weird的分布所需要的样本数要更大才能invoke CLT，否则只能上
nonparametric。 |

dramatically if one can discribe here in very details...and can afford to

expression. Usually, if it is MMLV, then the promoter is contained in 5'LTR,
so the viral genome is transcribed from there. Otherwise, people will put a
CMV in front of 5'LTR to express it. Without a promoter, the viral genome

考试时可能会有一些比较新的题目，peds题比如shcool age girl 体重的问题，妈妈还
带着growth chart给你看，
举这个例子不是要讨论学术上怎么准备这个case，起码精神上不要被这种从没见过的
case吓倒，不要乱了阵脚。安慰自己：这样的case估计不算分吧。。。 后来和另一个
考友交流，发现他也遇见了，而且问出来的Hx大不相同。这个case 3天之内竟然出现2
次，估计是实验性的题目。
所以说，prepare yourself for some weird cases，at least emotionally.
这些考试，总会有一些出人意表的东西，没碰见是运气好，碰见了也不别慌，沉着应对才是道啊。 |

我举个excel能干，tableau干不了的例子。
简单的生存分析。告诉业务部门，什么产品赚钱了，什么赔钱了。
大量用到公式的地方。 随便翻开什么书，什么公式，只要你算，excel都能派上用场。
tableau就悬了，不是说不能算，而是很weird. 好比你用sql去处理统计计算问题，不
是不能做， 而是感觉很奇怪。
我再举个tableau能做，excel不能做的例子。
地图。 excel没这东西。 tableua有。你做个报告，显示地图当然比显示table好。
tableau的最大长处其实就是一个字：
卖相好。 教练包就真比地摊包好嘛？ 不一定。 但人家卖相好。再说的明白一点，大
老板为了显示自己的档次，用tableau, 底下的人，就是做business的，为了迎合 也用
tableau
至于说excel有大小限制。高度一个million,宽度几千列吧？ 我觉得这么说也很weird.
这年头raw data 都在数据库里呢 ，我不明白为什么要excel来处理原始数据？

大概大多数人看完后不会同意我的感受吧。话说某住在new jersy一类地方的一个航空
公司工作的工程师，业务挺强，他每天晚上下班后都要开车去一个地方偷窥一个独居女
子的生活，该女子是julia stiles……
考虑到前面提起过的一件事：
这两天去图书馆还碟，给管理员推荐一电影。管理员姐姐说：I don't know.The last
movie you recommended was kind of weird...
不知不觉中自己似乎成了一个weirdo，至少看电影口味上如此。
Julia Stiles，脸有点宽眼睛有点小似乎还有点三角，不过还是挺欣赏这演员的，有年
头了。她现在演的电影有时候有点那种意思，比如前几年那个David Mamet的那个Edmund。

一个优秀的孩子就这么没了，其家人的悲痛真的是无以言表的；对两个涉案犯罪的的孩
子，气愤之余，同样也为他们和他们的父母感到悲哀。不管在司法程序后定罪如何，毕
竟这件事给他们今后的人生留下了抹不去的阴影。
我们这一代虽然求学时正赶上改革开放，可从小到大的教育中，却没有受过性教育，更
不用说是同性恋的教育。90年代初，隐约得记得，同性恋似乎和“流氓罪”有关，即便
是在上海那样的城市；出国后，在纽约这样的大都市，不可避免的接触到了同性恋者，
也听了不少同性恋的事，慢慢的只是不太以为奇了，但我也并不敏感这个话题。
有了孩子后，开始关心美国的学校教育，包括性教育。可真正让我注视到同性恋的教育
还是因为我自己闹得笑话。那年，老二Pre-K的班里有一个小女孩的妈妈们是两个女同
性恋者，我并不知道。开学不久，班里的每个孩子都做了“My Family”的Project, 也

一次，但是看到Travel版上草鱼的游记，觉得，应该放弃在可以在高空懒懒睡觉的机会，

机票是从New Hampshire的Manchester机场，飞Maryland的Baltimore，和我的目的地DC还
有一个多小时的火车程，然而，为了拿到便宜的Southwest的价钱，也只有委屈自己早半个
小时起床，去赶这50 Miles之外的方便了。送我的朋友，比我还准时，一路上，我兴奋的

我先抛块砖。
我老爸喜欢谈论政治，除了他的专业外，这个是他的业余爱好，我上中学的时候就常常
听他跟同事和学生在家里谈，但我不懂政治与我有什么关系，我那个时候就一个心思，
考上好大学。
我一直不知道政治与我有什么关系，上大学的时候也不知道，虽然偶尔谈谈时政，但都
不着边际， 而且有意避免谈政治，觉得女孩谈政治，很weird，影响女性魅力。只到大
学2年级，我们有一门课是个女老师讲，她课上慷慨激昂，抨击时政，常常引来雷鸣般
