IVAEX is available in thinkorswim for $1000 minimum. It is the best class
for Ivy Asset Strategy.
IVWIX is available in Fido with a transaction fee in for retirement account,
or you can get it from Wellstrade for retirement account for $1000 minimum.
In Wellstrade you can get 100 free trade per account if you have $25000
total asset with them, IMO, it is the best deal among all brokerage. |

amtd/fidelity both provide free etf. much better than wellstrade 100 free
trade, and there's no maintenance requirement.
It gives you 100 free trades per year (NTF is not counted in the 100 free
trade), and provides many good institutional class funds for a reasonable
minimum in retirement account. If your taxable and tax-deferred account
combined have 25K, both accounts get 100 free trades. |

如果你开的是wellstrade就什么都能买。他就是个broker.
如果你开wellsfargo advisor/wells fargo advantage funds之类的，应该只能买WB自
己的产品 |

现在brokerage账户有Fidelity， BOA。Fido费用比较高，本想用BOA（每个月30次免费
)，但要求存款账户至少有$25k。Wells Fargo的$25k要求是包含brokerage账户的，所
以很容易满足。
有没有什么其他的注意事项？ |

发帖数: 2964 | 11 Yes, Wellstrade is quite weak in terms of their interface. But its access to
some institutional share is very good. Besides, some TF fee in either
Schwab or Fidelity is a killer for me when I do not have a large sum to
invest in certain fund. They also do not have short term redemption fee.
Fidelity has 180 days and Schwab has 90 days. Not to say I intend to trade
MF often, but it is nice to have such flexibility. |

我想在fidelity开一个，但是买别家的funds好像要交很高的transaction fee啊，

because of 1) low minimum for some institutional class funds such as IVWIX
in retirement account and 2) free trade for some good TFs. |

发帖数: 2964 | 18 WT currently is a mess. Their MF online trading system is a disaster since WellsTrade merged into Wells Fargo Advisors. Better to wait a couple of weeks until they iron things out. I have called them 4-5 times last week for a number of issues. |

since the merge of WellsTrade Investments into Wells Fargo Advisors, it
became only tolerable. I like their 100 free trade and fund lineup, but for
new account, one may not be able to initiate position in many institutional
class funds previously available for a low minimum. You can still add to
your position though. |

请问是不是如果balance超过25k 就没有任何的fee了？他们家有什么trick吗？
还有我想问问那个Margin Rates，如果我账户里有足够的balance是不是就不会用到
Margin,也就不会有Margin Rates了？有一点我很不理解的是我如果不开Margin
Accounts, 而是普通的WellsTrade brokerage account 然后link到PMA，这样是不是就
和Margin rate无关了？ |

2) 10/10 SELL 100 ABC for $2500 (gain $500)
3) 10/15 BUT 100 ABC with total cost $2000
4) 10/20 SELL 100 ABC for $1000 (loss -$1000)
Wellstrade (wellfargo) now report item 4) as wash sale cause I brought 100
ABC on 10/1 which is in 60day range of item 4) loss. But if they consider
item 4) is wash sale, they should adjust cost base of item 1 to be $3000,
but they didn't.
I called them, the agent said: item 4 is a wash sale because of it meets the
