发帖数: 3463 | 2 和前三年不同，今年是在Westover AFB 举行的， 上一次我来westover AFB 是2004年
的事情了，后面有两年是在westfield AFB (A-10 的老家），去年是在Otis AFB. 不知
道Otis AFB? 911 中起飞的两架F-15 就是驻扎在Otis 的。 可惜，这个基地被关掉了
，F-15 被 relocate 到westfield AFB, 驻扎在westfield A-10 (104 FS) 转到康州了
， 估计以后看不到带Red Sox 标志的A-10 了。。。 这次航展"Otis Boys" 还是起飞
了三架老态龙钟的F-15, 做了个通场就不知去向了。 美军现在也是一个青黄不接的时
候， 整个new england 只有Vermont 的F-16, 和Westfield F-15 各一个中队担任空防
， 要知道这批F-15/16 最新的也是84年订购的。。。
Westover AFB 是米军C-5 的老家之一，但地处麻省山区， 交通不便，I-90 就一个出
口，航展来的人却不少， 整个一个超级大塞车。。。 停车就更可恶了， 我为了下午

(Andover and Exeter), Milton, Groton, Deerfield, Roxbury latin, ST paul etc
. 我儿子曾经考入Milton, 但最后，权衡了一下，觉得还是不入我们这最好的公立，最

1. Westover Hills, 760 sq ft, 1 bedroom.
2. Hyde Park, 750 sq ft, 1 bedroom.
价钱差不多，请Cary的同学帮忙看看哪一个更好一点呢？
主要考虑环境好，吃饭方便，安全，停车方便。

以，离I-40超近，离名震RTP的大亚洲和35也不远。小区内有网球场、健身房、游泳池
，房租似乎略高于平均水平。 |

$200k will not find any problem living in Stamford. Daycare is around $1300
-1500 for toddler. Infant will be more, pre-school less.
Rental is around $1500-2300 per month for 1-2br apartments. Greenwich rental
is at least as much as Stamford, if not more.
Best housing market is Westover and North Stamford, followed by Newfield,
Turn of River, Shippan. Try to avoid buying in Glenbrook, Cove, Sprindale
and downtown area.

Stamford的富人区）都是好区,中部的Glenbrook和Springfield次之。 |

索, 那个头大 - 太多了. 只好先向这里的xdjm们先请教一下:
Richmond downtown 的周边哪个区域比较好一些? 偶想就在离downtown 5 个 mile 以内
的范围里找. 大致发觉有这么几个区域, 请熟悉的xdjm给个建议. 偶最主要关心安全,
要可以领着小家伙在旁边随便走走的.
1. James 河南边, 150 和 60 的东北, 好像是称作Westover Heights.
2. Fan / West End. 好象是比较高级的地方, 不过有些贵, 值不值啊?
3. East of downtown, 197 和 33 交叉的附近地区
4. Downtown 正北. VUU 北面一点的地方.

三次看雷鸟的演示，印象最深还得是 1987年9月24日美国空军雷鸟表演队在北京南苑机场
的表演，那时我还不知道天上飞的是什么机型，但是雷鸟4机钻石编队低空掠过头顶的印
象真是太深了。雷鸟每到一个新国家，都会在机身两侧贴上该国国旗。50-60年代雷鸟飞F
-100时访问过台湾，所以机身上贴有中华民国的国旗。雷鸟来在南苑机场表演前，在中方
要求下把中华民国国旗去掉了。不过以后又加了回去。 |
