亲带着一两岁穿着开裆裤的孩子逛街的景象。这种在中国街头巷尾司空见惯的现象在美
国却让白人居民拨通了警局的电话。为此，5日记者专门就小孩穿开裆裤，甚至在街头
大小便的现象是否违法、会受到何种处罚等问题采访了多个警局的警官。
小孩穿开裆裤在中国随处可见
蒙市警局小队长艾略特（Dave Elliott）表示，如果他看到大人带着穿开裆裤的小
孩走在街上，会上前盘问，如果得知这是华人孩子的传统习惯，他会建议母亲到了美国
后入乡随俗，给孩子戴上纸尿布或穿上纸尿裤。如果发现穿开裆裤的小孩随地大小便，
他会责令孩子的父母把大小便清理干净，但不会开罚单。
亚凯迪亚警局大队长沃恩（Whalen Vaughn）认为小孩穿开裆裤和随地大小便现象
