This is a professional class whiteboard and it is great for kid study! It's
in perfect condition, i used it lightly for about a year. Its an absolute
steal at $60 for each and two for $100. It was purchased for more than $200
for each and its in like new condition. Two of them have to all go. |

interviewer 是个很nice很帅的美国人
问了在M家工作的师兄，说SDE，SDET和program manager我们这边的site最缺的就是
SDET。于是interviewer问我三个方向哪一个更感兴趣一些。我就说SDET。。其实我就
根本不大懂SDET干啥的。。
问：为什么对test的职位感兴趣？
答曰：我知道你们比较缺SDET的人，test就是写写test case啊，保证产品release之前
达到一定的quality
问：好，那我问你一个关于test的问题，如果一个人给你一个stapler，你在release它
之前准备怎么test
答曰：1. 看stapler里面有钉子和没钉子的时候是不是都是都能够expected的使用效果
；2.test里面的component，比如弹簧什么的，是不是工作正常；3.sample size，感觉
就一个stapler怎么test，我们要测试多个stapler，然后才能确定这批产品质量的

yes, DP is common for LCS alike problems. However, this problem, is not the
type for DP. If people try to struggle with DP/Suffix, he is simply waste
time (OK, you will be super if you can do it by DP on whiteboard without ANY
bug within 15 mins).

面试者发了一个google doc过来说要用这个当whiteboard用。
只好发信过去说能不能换个时间，这样我可以休一天假在家里呆着，可以上网，就可以
用这个whiteboard了。

我就是想平时有空时，在手机或ipad上， 手写演算一些数学练习。
我觉得很简单的app就行， 只要能有（一张大的）草稿纸的功能就行了。
我甚至试了几个“whiteboard"(白板)一样的app, 或者给小朋友涂鸦的painting的软件，
这些软件的最大的问题是：“whiteboard" 大小有限， 写到一页底， 不自动往下
走。
我觉得只要克服这样的问题，就行了。 可以比较容易的在一页纸里， 修改任何地方
。
还是一句话，只要能有（一张大的）草稿纸的功能就行了。（当然， 还需要包括存文
件功能）
有没有这样的app ? |

是要么屏幕，要么whiteboard，我选择了whiteboard。其实陶瓷board比屏幕贵，为了
两用吗。是有些反光，但稍微错开一点角度就看不见了。

而且很多菜呀什么的都是平时想起来缺什么写在冰箱门上的whiteboard上的。我都是出
门前给whiteboard拍一张，比戳手指头搞shopping list好使多了。
很多时候，原始的方法就是方便管用，不需要那么fancy的功能。 |

我们这边有自己的recruiters，所以interview process非常迅速，有的人当天refer第
二天就面试了。一般面试包括了phone screen, take home coding challenge, 4 hrs
onsite coding exercise and whiteboard coding.
现在整个 NY mobile team office大约有30几人，20个developers, 一大半是来自
yahoo收购的startups. office基本保留了startups的氛围，很轻松，大家都很友好，
最重要一点，公司一个印度人都没有。

的总体把握非常到位

一类是就system而言，如CD player, Hotel booking system
另一类是design an end to end solution e.g. client-server architecture。
大部分面试都是这两类，前一类是OOD/OOA,后一类是看你的design or whiteboard
draw是不是make sense e.g. network efficiency, security, protocol design etc.
至于detail design pattern并不是这些设计题的重点啦。 |

Worse, the phone call came from another recruiter and I talked with him
about my background and what position I was interested for 1.5 min~~~
I am regret to death when I finished the onsite interview and I couldn't
understand why my head got kicked by a donkey at that time~~~

话说第一次on-site，我本人自己感觉良好，觉着题目都做出来了，虽然有些多余变量
，也没关系吧。于是喜滋滋的等着那轮四个人的interview。没想到，过了几天，HR哥
哥写信来，说面试官觉得我写程序不够快不够简洁，建议再来coding的面试。无语，谁
让咱不是那种在whiteboard上写code如流水的牛人，只好灰溜溜的同意再来一次on-
site。
第二次是一个很nice的哥哥面我，一直微笑，在我卡壳的时候，也都提示我。废话少说
，上题目：
1. 一个rotated的排序整数数组，比如A=[6，8，1，2，4，5]，写code找一个给定元素
，并分析复杂度。其实就是binary search的变体，但是需要考虑两种A[m]中值的情况
加以判断。
2. 他谈到facebook的log，如果每个log文件有10 billion行，每行包括t |
