widow + survived kids 在美国是可以领取social security一直到孩子成年的。
widow一份， 孩子一份。 按照硅工们的收入， 如果一方不幸离世，
配偶和未成年孩子都可以领取social security到孩子成年。
加起来大概是一个月$2400.
可惜图博士没有绿卡， 否则他的妻子孩子可以领取social security, 比他在浙大
的收入高得多。

在美国只要婚姻超过十年， 就可以享有那次婚姻的配偶的social security的权利。
比如 A和B曾经有过一段十年的婚姻， 比如说A比B年轻，
不管他们什么时候离婚， 不管B是否活着，

update！刚通了电话，妈妈过了。太开心了～～～是在一个40多岁的男签证官这里签的。
大概问了四个问题。
你来美国干什么？是第一次去吗？去看谁？去哪里多久？
然后我妈妈要递照片的时候，他就说不用了，你过了。
在这之前，妈妈说有两个人都死在黑珍珠的手上，轮到她的时候刚好新开一个窗口，就
是这位40多岁的男士。妈妈自己也说运气很好。
其实我妈妈的情况有很多硬伤，我是独生女f2，只有租赁证，而且妈妈是widow，所以
自己也担心了一晚上。好在妈妈顺利通过了。btw，谢谢版上的朋友给妈妈的bless，同

大家可以自己登陆到

察看自己积累的各种disability或者survivor benefit.
有未成年孩子的家庭，SS给未成年孩子（到18岁）和照顾孩子的配偶或离婚配偶（到孩
子16岁）各自发钱， 以帮助家庭损失一个收入来源造成的经济困难。
比如一个家庭有两个小于16岁的未成年孩子，爸爸或者妈妈一方离世。逝者过去年薪12
万，工作五年，那么这个家庭可以每个月得到$4500的SSA payment. 这个收入跟活着的
父母是否工作无关，跟她/他的收入也无关。跟是否再婚也无关。只跟她/他是否还继续
照顾孩子有关。
等到所有孩子都16岁了，这个survival spouse的照顾孩子的SSA payment就领不到了。
但是孩子还是可以继续SSA一直到18周岁。
