move to this area in about a month and need to find a nice daycare for our 2
.5 years daughter. Our house is about 0.5 miles away from the intersection
of McGinns Ferry Rd and Windward Parkway. It is the right side of Exit 11 on
Highway 400 if you come from South on 400. Any recommendation will be
highly appreciated. Thank you! |

发帖数: 680 | 2 there are some day cares in that area, such as Primrose on McGinnis road.
Also there is one on Windward Pkwy. I forgot their name but you can google
it. If you consider the private Georgia Pre-K, the McGinnis Wood is good. It
is close to Primrose, next to the McDonald's. |

I know Primrose is a chain style day care. Is this particular one a good one
based on your experience?
The one on Windward Pkwy: Is it called Knowledge Beginnings? How is it
compared to the Primrose one above?
I will have a tour at McGinnis Wood tomorrow. But based on my understanding
from your message, seems like their Georgia Pre-K is pretty good. But how
about daycare for a 2.5 years old? Is it good in general or just for its Pre
-K program?

洛杉矶地区没有最好的私立高中，只有最合适的私立高中。四所最严格私立高中是
Flintridge Prep, Pasadena Poly, Webb 和 Harvard-Westlake. 有些人可能会说最严
格的就是最好的，但对于大部分学生来说这种说法不对。对于大部分学生来说这种严格
的学校压力过大，每晚五小时的家庭作业 (脑子好使的), 加上周末，从九年级开始就
用大学程度课本。再加上2到3小时的体育训练或者演奏练习，加上社团，公共服务，和
课外活动。在申请大学的时候，大学不会因为你上一所非常难的私立学校，而对你网开
一面，反而在这里更难拿到好成绩。
最好从你所居住的周围开始咨询，因为你不会想要每天开很远的路程。就算是比较不那
么难的学校每晚也有3到4小时的家庭作业。有些学校有非常强的运动计划或者艺术计划
，所以选什么学校完全看你需要什么。不要太看中升学率，因为那主要取决与学生而不
是学校。
很多洛杉矶的天主教学校也收一部分非天主教的学生。天主教学校的费用通常只有私立

在美东南地区以投资土地著名而有“地王”称号的赖海桐，日前一家四口从佛州前往亚
特兰大的途中，在靠近塔拉哈西(Tallahassee)市的I10州际公路上，翻车身亡，得年67
岁，结束他在地产界精彩传奇的一生。
当时同车负责驾驶的18岁小儿子赖俊豪，也在车祸中罹难。位于后座的妻子和大儿子则
受到轻伤。
据佛州公路巡警报告，2月25日晚间8时45分左右，由赖俊豪驾驶的丰田4 Runner休旅车
，从他们居住的家园(Homestead)市驶往I10公路向西方向，在接近151出口附近，赖俊
豪因过度矫正开进路肩的车子方向盘，导致车身打转并翻滚数次，最后坠毁在双向车道
中，导致赖海桐和赖俊豪当场死亡。

美国东亚暨太平洋事务前助理国务卿、现为亚洲社会政策研究所研究员的罗素（Daniel
Russel）说：“川普政府大肆吹嘘的最大压力，如今充其量不过是最小压力。这意味
着巨大杠杆损失。”
