二○一一年四月十日，北京守望教會原擬在中關村三層露天平台舉行戶外主日崇拜，最
後因政府當局的全面「封堵」而無法舉行。事件中，教會方面五位 治理委員會成員（
包括兩位牧師、三位長老）及不少信徒自週六起被禁止外出，約有一百六十多位抵達現
場聚集的信徒，先後被有關方面帶走1（後陸續獲釋）。這次事件，廣泛受到境外媒體
的關注，2被視為中國政府與家庭教會關係一次新的考驗。
其實，四月十日的戶外崇拜事件，並非守望教會與地方政府間的首起「矛盾」，早於二
○○八年五月，北京市宗教部門以奧運將臨，發起「基督 教聚會點專項清理活動」，
派員干預守望的主日崇拜聚會。此後，政府轉向聚會場所的房東施壓。二○○九年十月
底，守望教會因無法利用租用的聚會場地，決定在 海淀公園舉行戶外崇拜。守望信徒
