Dr. Wing的 mock IV。Dr. Wing想让我发一个帖子讲一下从我的角度的感受。我觉得Dr
. Wing组织这些活动是在切实帮助所有的CMG，所以我想我也把我的感受写一下，算是
我对Dr. Wing和大家的点滴回报。如果有讲的不好的地方，请多原谅。我把我的想法列
了几点：
－ 和很多朋友一样，我时间很紧，所以通过网络很方便。我觉的参加ACAP活动能增进
networking， 但我很晚才了解到ACAP. 总之不同的 mock IV 形式会互补吧。
－ 说实话我觉得收费似乎有点高，所以我一开始很犹豫，但是，最后还是参加Dr.Wing
IV. 我不知道Dr. Wing能不能考虑适当降低一些收费，但是，我不了解具体的运营成
本。不过，我觉的适当收费是很可以理解的，因为这样这个系统才能持久下去。不管怎
样，我还是很感谢Dr. Wing给大家提供这样一个机会。

进行临床（做研究），以前临床背景不是内科。这些硬伤是不能回避的。如何在面试的
时候谈及上面3个问题的同时，把这个硬伤变成普通的问题，甚至变成优势，正如大家
说的化你的弱势为优势，这个是我一直在思考，不断进行语言组织的问题。但是我只是
感觉总是有点纠缠不清。
看了论坛很多关于Dr Wing指导mock interview的经验介绍，一直很心向往之。昨天终
于自己和Dr Wing练习了一次，亲身体验了整个过程，过后再次细细体会了整个过程，
谈谈我的感受。
1.Dr Wing 首先和我进行了20分钟的one to one mock interview。开场没有任何废话
，直接奔主题，一问一答。在这个过程中我迅速感觉到Dr Wing非常有经验地抓住了我
的package里面的东西进行的询问，每一个问题都是目的性很强，能从不同的侧面了解
一个人，同时考验一个人的应变过程。
2.分析阶段：接下来的时间，Dr Wing就每一个提问和我的回答进行分析，提问的目的

很地道，而且sauce非常有名，网上都能买得到~~
周末去Mall闲逛，看见这家Buffalo Wild Wing, BWW，就进去了。是一个sport的grill
and bar,但是他们家的wing从mild 到very very very spicy有将近20种口味，6个
wings一组，你可以选择不同的口味，个人觉得很不错~~~极大的满足了我buffalo wing
的胃口。
他们家的beer选择也很多，点了blue moon，加了orange，很温和的口感~~~
他们家Tuesday，Wing Special, 35cent，以后回New Haven了，每周二一定逛街家吃

首先赞扬Dr.Wing对CMG帮助的敬业。我申请报名的时间较晚，当时已经没有了slot。我
联系她后，她及时回复并告诉我又开放了几个slots。从交谈中，我能感觉到Dr.Wing认
真地读了我的CV和PS。Dr.Wing针对它们问了问题，也用它们帮我找到合理的答案。
如前面的同学所写，前20分钟左右是Interview形式： Dr.Wing问并作记录， 我回答。
后40分钟，她针对我的每个答案作点评，然后根据我的背景提出建议和润色答案。她的
点评字字有力。我的背景比较杂，Dr.Wing帮我理顺一个合理的解释。此外，我的答案
总是停止在所问问题的表面，Dr. Wing让我学到IV问题实质层次。真是赞叹她的睿智。

发帖数: 84 | 8 上个礼拜参加了Dr.Wing的mock interview. 我之前呢注册了Dr. Wing的面试指导，但
是由于注册的晚，发现11月份的位置都填满了，只能约到了12月。后来email Dr. Wing
想看看有没有可能提前mock，Dr.Wing很nice，不久就回复了我，帮我把mock提前安排
到了11月。 非常非常感谢。
我是大龄CMG，这几年陆续养了两个小娃有比较明显的gap， Dr.Wing针对我的weakness
给了我很具体的建议，也帮我分析了自己的strength，对我的package给了一个one on
one的指导。
我感觉帮助很是比较大的。 Dr.Wing是有丰富的interview面试经验的attending，本人
也非常smart，思路清晰。 她呢从interviewer的角度来帮你分析interviewer的主要
concern和program的expectation。她的观点是不要试图ignore自己的weakness，要找
机会自己主动的bring up weakness（对于我，是比较长的gap），然后以事实说话，给

时间和金钱投入相比，不算什么。ACAP和Dr. Wing 的Mock Interview我都参加了，想
浅谈一下我对ACAP和Dr. Wing Mock Interview 的看法。首先要感谢ACAP组织这个免费
的活动，和无偿担任面试人的各位前辈。面试也很专业，反馈很及时。唯一的问题是由
于参加的人员太多，面试人不可能针对每个个例提出具体意见和建议。这也恰恰是Dr.
Wing Mock Interview的优势所在。Dr. Wing要求至少48小时之前把申请的whole
package和面试单位的网站提供给她，面试的问题显示她确实花了时间研究，因此面试

定自己准备的面试问题的答案是否足够好。LG虽然有面试人的经验，但是是金融方面的
。--后来通过和Dr. Wing的交谈，发现LG的有些建议其实是不适合resident的
interview的。
Dr. Wing因为是自己面试和参与选择resident的人选，所以经验很丰富。 她之前会要
求send in整个package, 会很仔细地看过。开始的20分钟是正式的mock interview, 即
使是on-line, 她也要求穿着正式。之后，她很尖锐的指出了我的回答问题的方式和内
容存在的问题，指导如何在我自己的background上面个性化突出自己的优点。也给了很
中肯的建议关于自己最大的弱点（GAP)的回答。
感觉Dr. Wing的建议很实在。---当然，本人没有参加过别的mock interview，所以不

以指出自己没有发掘的闪光点和被自己忽视的reg flag. 我就不罗嗦了。补充一个就是
当我被问到对自己不利的问题时，我这个直脑筋彻底地傻了眼，直接进入目瞪口呆状态
，好不容易回过神，勉勉强强像挤牙膏一样挤出几句自己听着都难受的话后，恨不得找
个地缝钻进去。。。。后来Dr. Wing指出我的相关的优点时，我才恍然大悟，原来还可以

发帖数: 19 | 33 总体感觉还是很有帮助的。刚开始Dr. Wing问了我面试中的常见问题，我一一作答。她
对我的答案做了笔记，然后根据每个答案给予点评，帮我做了调整。举其中一个例子：
我有一个面试的program据说更喜欢他们的resident做primary care或是做hospitalist
。根据他们的喜好，我就把我的career goal改成了primary goal。Dr. Wing一下就听
出了破绽，她说你这样的背景，你说做PCP没人会信的。最好还是把真实的想法说出来
。根据她的指点我就把career goal改回成academic medicine。在真正面试的时候，这
点还真帮到了我。副PD说，你不告诉我我也可以看到你将来的职业规划，肯定是
physician scientist之类的。当时暗自庆幸，幸亏Dr. Wing帮我指出了那一点。很多
东西是瞒不过那些faculty的。所以最好的还是做自己。

了。到目前为止，几个讲座我都听 了。之前也咨询了周围几个学友，大家对价格上有
点感觉小贵。 我不晓得收费的标准，但是在我看来因为目前做这个咨询服务 的团体或
个人本来就 少，木有形成市场规范，所以很难衡量价格 是高还是低。
医院里有医院 收费标准，咨询服务有咨询服务的收费标准，但是目前 这个市场竞争者
寥寥，没什么参照。对于我个人说，我在复习考试，要工作， 要带 孩子我也没时间想
这个该不该收费或者收费高低的问题，我想听我 就 听了，如果 是对我未来申请或者
工作有好处的话， 就是花些钱 我认为是值得滴，权作教育投资了。作为消费者， 我
们当然想价格低点，但是我的出发点 是我尊重trainer的现场劳动，及其先期脑力劳动
的投入。如果我觉得 值，我就参加了。但是我要想办法尽我最可能的努力让的钱花得
值。想想怎么和trainer交流请她/他改进培训质量，方法。感叹大家都说kaplan很贵，
还有N 多人参加，那是卖方有市场啊。

想法和感受，希望能给和我类似的申请者会有帮助， 不当之处大家请见谅。
首先非常感谢Dr Wing 以及版主提供的消息给了我这次宝贵的经历。
我性格上是比较被动安静的， 不太会说话，也不太会表达自己，另外英语还不是很好
，最怕的就是面试了。我老公和我自己就很多常见问题都准备了答案，一直在练习。但
是自己练的效果是，感觉总像背书，没有互动，也不会接话。
之前我参加了ACAP的 mock ， 帮助也是很大，吴医生指出了我很多缺点及改进的方向
，非常感谢。但是我自己试着改进答案，感觉总不满意。
读了版主的帖子后，就马上约了Dr Wing的 Mock interview, 昨晚练了之后感觉帮助
非常大。她在面完之后给了非常详细的反馈，根据我的经历做了非常好的修改， 特别
好的是她非常注重面试的互动，对我帮助非常大。我白天听了好几遍录音，每次听都有
新的感觉。而且自信心也增加了。

多面试,对大部分人来说, 没有真正了解面试的内涵,不能存分发挥自己的优势。 很高
兴能有象Dr. wing这样的既了解我们CMG又有面试住院医经验的人给我们辅导。
先是15-20分钟的interview, 之后Dr. Wing就我的回答给了针对性的改进。 之前虽然
准备了面试的常见问题, 但是对有些回答自己还不是很满意, 但也想不到更好的答案了
。 Dr. Wing 的辅导, 帮助我打开了回答问题的思路. 另外作为一个富有经验的面试官
,她立马看出了我package里缺陷, 并且帮我想好了怎么去回答。 听完她的回答之后我
感觉就像“听君一席话，胜读十年书”。
我觉得如果平时性格就比较内向不善于表现自己的申请者，这样的机会不可多得。 |

首先我们能有的选择不多，之前联系了lanjing，9月份联系的，想上11月份的班Dr.
lanjing回信说已经没位置了。先联系lanjing因为那里毕竟有一天面对面的交流，所以
想着获得的信息估计会多点，虽然花费肯定要高很多。后来听人说Dr. lanjing比较挑
人，所以想着是不是我是低分老CMG，希望不大，所以就被拒绝了，现在也不得而知。
Dr. Wing的mock interview总价相对其他选择比较便宜，因为毕竟是网上的，1-1.5个
小时，但单位时间收费其实挺高的，但mock interview后我觉得还是值得花这些钱。之
前和我的language tutor（美国人，中学老师） 练过所有能想到的问题，language
tutor也给了我很多参考意见，但他毕竟不是从事医疗行业的。我也和实验室的
clinical fellow聊过相关内容，但他们以前是被面试者，从没面试过住院医生，所以
想法还是有点不同。Dr. Wing明显有着丰富的面住院医生的经验，知道program

享一下我的感受。
以前报名了Kaplan mock interview, 还有一些其他的tutor, 我觉得Dr Wing是最好的
一个。她很善于抓住整个application 优势。她非常了解我们中国人口语弱点，除了分
析问题，还帮我完整的解答有可能问到的问题。她的回答很朴实得体。她的mock
interview 1个小时多，其实内容很丰富, 而且举一反三。我相信只要能够掌握她所教
的，我的面试就会大大加分。所以我接下来不停的听录音，反复听，觉得收获非常大，
也增添了很大的信心。真的感谢Dr Wing.我很高兴她能提供这个机会，真的很难得。我

如果你要给你父母买来美国的机票，请远离这家代理。它家订票不规矩。我给父母在他
们那定了来回的
一年open的机票。等我改回程日期的时候，被告知只能在他们代理改。打电话给航空公
司，航空公司
说我的票早就过期了，他们在系统里找不到。 后来我意识到他们可能知道给我买的6个
月的便宜票。
一般改票也就是$250.但是wings of asia Travel要450，而且服务态度极其恶劣。
我没有任何选择.
很不幸的是，由于国内紧急事情，我回程改了两次。花了我1800.而如果买的是正常的1
年open的票，改票大致是1000，而且可以在代理或者航空公司改。

所以就选定了Hastings 和 Red Wing 这两个地方
昨天先後去了这兩個位於密西西比河畔的明州古镇走走
兩處老街，一樣安靜
Hastings的古物店特別有意思
我們淘到一個品相很好的Coach Classic Basic Bag才30元，但據悉產自1974年的NYC
此外，密西西比河上的黑色鐵橋也很有代表性
到古镇的古物店淘东西一直是我的兴趣
记得上次在Stillwater淘到一本60年代的明州交规花了5元
里面的内容有趣极了，例如要求驾驶员注意避让牛只等等
不过，和Stillwater的古物店相比，Hastings的这几家感觉东西比较有经整理过
然后又到了Red Wing
这里的鞋子博物馆里头有只世界最大的鞋子
老街氛圍挺好，老火車站小巧精緻，老派餐廳風味絕佳也很有穿越感
在冬阳下散步甚是悠闲
我发现Hastings和Red Wing的古街区的吃的地方都不多
尤其是和Stillwater相比
返程選擇走威斯康辛州境內公路回Minneapolis
一樣是在大北方，但是所見風貌與明州略有不同，感觉牧业发达一些
