据《纽约邮报》3日报道，下个星期，美国底特律市将进行首轮市长选举。在参与竞选
的8名市长候选人中，有4人是曾被判有重刑的罪犯，牵涉的都是毒品、谋杀、枪击等重
罪。
观察者网小编在“our campaigns”网站上查询得知，4人中有3人是无党派人士，1人党
派未知。
底特律市长选举将于8月8日举行，届时会在8名候选人中淘汰6人，将名额缩减至2人。

底特律新闻报道称，在这4名曾判有重刑的市长候选人中，有3人曾被指控枪杀罪，2人
被指控犯有谋杀罪。这些犯罪可追溯到数十年前，最早到1977年，最近的是2008年。
根据美国国家选举法，被定罪的重罪犯仍然有选举和被选举权，除非他们犯有某些与欺
诈有关的罪行或涉及违反公众信任的罪行。
