但是因为deal 的structure短期对vod不利，
所以verizon wirelss的价值没在vod里体现
vod挺稳定，同时有 hidden value

So decided to connect two computers(1st floor PC and 2nd floor living-room
HTPC) with Ethernet. Initially I want to do it behind drywall, after some
investigation, decided that it's too hard for a novice like me, so gave up :)
Finally just took the easy approach, run the Cat 5e cable along the wall and
stairs, not too bad after all. You can buy those 'cable staple' in Home

走阁楼的话，阁楼人是无法在里面走的，只能用棍子从那个小窗把线慢慢送进去。室外
的线大约可以隐藏在屋檐下。
当然，很有可能是wirelss,那就只供电源就行了，这样的话几个摄像头就打几个洞，分
别拉电源线，室内也不用拉明显的线了。 |

。也互相讨论下最佳方案。
目前主要有三种方案比较适合SHF。
方案一，使用象adt等，开启monitoring，三五十刀不等，但是mitbbs上评论该类服务
并不是很好，
方案二， hardwired camera system， 走线感觉难度比较大，不能防止入侵。
方案三， wireless ip camera, 有人提到稳定性，不是很清楚。也不能防止入侵
对于SFH来讲，home security的首要目的是防止小偷进入，其次才是万一被偷能留证据
抓小偷。老美警察出警还是很迅速的，破案倒未必，特别是小案件。
1. 威慑作要是第一步，也是很重要的，
插adt 牌子，贴security protection 标签 （门，窗），挂假的摄像头等等，
绝大部分小偷都不是惊天大盗，基本都是柿子挑软的捏，看到你家的有安防系统，可能
就跳过你家去另外一家了。
2. alarm 是第二步，也是最重要的一步，万一有人入侵，你至少马上会知道，而且警
铃会吓跑绝大多数盗贼。

，不用买最高配置的。desktop速度绝对快，和笔记本比较，即使是同样的配置，速度
也比笔记本快。共享硬盘可以，用wirelss router就能实现。我用的是ASUS的比较好的
router。

one near bedroom 2, and one in between bedroom 3,4. I will add one wirelss
sensor in family room, one in living/entry/dining room.
I really like its night light function. It gives just enough light to see
your path.
My opener is an old Chamberlain (chain). very noisy and has a 1/2 HP motor.
I plan to insulate garage door so I am afraid it'll not be power enough to
lift the door.

起来太麻烦。就算是wirelss版本，也要装一个epson的app感觉很鸡肋。
貌似放了projector以后projector和屏幕之间的的空间就废掉了 - 走路都得小心翼翼
的，也不知道孩子不小心看到projector光源会不会伤眼睛。
不知道大家看这种科技的趋势是什么，有没有什么和apple device无线pair的比较好的
图像质量比较高的projector推荐。 |

I used Thunder or BTcomet. Even though I just browse online, the connection
often get lost so I have to restart the router. While on BT , the connection
lost 100% immediately.

以前PS3和电脑都有线连接在router上，由于router上只有10/100Mb Lan，所以在用PS3
media server看片的时候网速成了最大的问题。高码率1080P卡得不行，720P也得降低
画质。由于电脑主板上有2个千兆网卡，灵机一动干脆直接把PS3直接连在电脑空闲的一
个网卡上了。这带来的效果是明显的，1080P最高画质不再是问题，后退前进也不会被
卡死。可是，问题是怎么上网对战和更新呢？
2 失败的尝试之一
我的第一个想法是让PS3用wirelss连router，用有线网卡连电脑，两者同时工作。不过
却发现，当无线网卡工作的时候，有线不能同时工作。当把无线关掉以后，居然发现当
PS3重新连上电脑后，media server怎么也找不到PS3了，不管怎么搞都搞不回去了。
3 失败的尝试之二
好吧，只能放狗了。关键词：PS3 双网卡 共享上网
上网一搜，果然出来一堆。基本意思是电脑网卡A（本地连接1）连接router，网卡B通
过双绞线连接PS3.网卡B（本地连接2）中设置成共享。控制面板》网络和internet》右
键点击本地连接2》属性》共享》第一 |
