memorial day wkend的出游计划。可以礼拜5下午开车到mammoth cave, 礼拜6玩
mammoth, 礼拜日和1玩GSM, 稍微赶了点。有人愿意一起去吗？貌似这个季节去还能看
到萤火虫。本人自驾游经验丰富，去年10月份在版上发过去北密的帖子。
话说有人去过shenandoah吗？我本来是打算去那里的，结果别人跟我说那公园一点意思
都没有，所以现在想去GSM&mammoth cave. 07年夏天去GSM的时候感觉GSM也没什么特色
，那些山山水水的随便在某个美国的中西部的state park公园几乎都能看到。但好不容
易有个3天假期，不出去干点啥，对得起这个3天假期吗，呵呵。 |

知道有些狂野，哈哈。计划8月底利用labor day wkend再搭上自己全年的假期，一共是
21天的样子吧，这么开一圈。先飞到seattle, 然后glacier, banff, jasper, 从
jasper开到alaska, 在alaska玩一个礼拜，然后开回seattle. 哈哈 |

70个小时，就是礼拜5下班的时间啦！！！哈哈。这应该是今年第一个long wkend了，
mlk&eastern都没休假，今年的4th of july又是wednesday...

份用上labor day wkend, 飞到seattle, 然后去glacier, banff, 最后从jasper开到

发帖数: 2868 | 13 不管是去lansing,滑雪，还是其他活动，不知道什么原因，大家似乎兴致似乎都不是太强烈。再加上我昨天晚上可能睡觉姿势不对，今天一整天颈椎就疼。坚持把班上下来以后，回到家做完饭就一直在沙发上看电视，所以可能我这次组织也不力。但就一个周末，2天的时间，太远的地方也去不了，而且现在冬天，冰天雪地的，很多公园什么的景色也不是太好。
其实我之前想去lansing看晚会，但一共就300张票，真不知道组织者是怎么想的。再加上我3月份又要回IL,路过lansing,所以我现在对于去那里的欲望也不是特别强烈。

在想咱们可以周6在aa一起打网球或者组织点户外活动，然后一起吃个晚饭，完了以后
可以找个地方打牌或者去bar什么的。
我有一个朋友昨天跟我说去ohio hiking, 我还没想好是否去，有点远，而且感觉ohio
没什么好的hiking trails. 如果有人感兴趣的话，一起去就去了。要真的hiking的话
，还是grand canyon的rim to rim或者yosemite的half dome有意思，不过离咱密西根
太远了，很难组织。
我现在在想，虽然还有一个多月的样子，但咱们memorial day wkend真的可以去那个
shenandoah national park, 离aa开车500多mi的样子。咱们就跟上次去hocking hills
一样，礼拜5出发，然后转个礼拜1回来。等再过些日子，我另起个帖子，组织这件事情
。好不容易冬天过去了，夏天到来了，而且还是3 days wkend, 不玩白不玩，:) |

kq, no one will know exactly which date the peak is going to happen. The
condition of the foliage mainly depends on the weather, sometimes it happens
a little early, other times, it happens a little later.
having said that, typically, if u go to the UP between the last wkend of
sept and the 2nd wkend of october, you will have a decent chance to see the
fall color of UP, which is absolutely gorgeous.

这么说的话，memorial day wkend应该是最好的时间。那时候正好有假期，而且天气相
对来说也不是特别热，南北rim的facilities都开门。不过我要是没有记错的话，
memorial day wkend那个周末north rim的旅馆特别的抢手，几乎是要年初就要订。可
问题是这种事情，年初的时候也不知道5月底会有什么事情，万一要是把旅馆机票都订
了，然后需要出差，那就悲剧了... |

resonable price during the memorial day wkend if u are starting to shop
around now. FYI, under $200/night is my definition of reasonable.
Im going to yosemite on the 5th of june, which is the wk after the memorial
day wkend. When i was trying find a place to stay for my yosemite visit
last friday, almost all of the hotels locate inside the park that i called

发帖数: 2868 | 30 因为自己的汽车保险这个月的28号就过期了。虽然对强制保险这事儿多少有些不爽，但
想到没保险开车是违法行为，昨天还是去我的保险公司弄保险。结果一个6月的term,
要500多美元！还是单保！问题是我之前的保险才300多美元，半年的时间突然涨了200
多。我这期间也没有ticket或者car accident，credit score也不错，也over the age
of 25. 唯一不好的地方就是1年多以前有张speeding ticket, 不过警察在ticket上写
的是over 1-5mph, 所以也不是什么大事。
那个agent跟我说是什么personal injury还有catastrophic claim涨钱了。不过让我有
点难以接受的是一涨涨了将近1倍！后来去一家local agent quote, 也是同样的价格！
而且我住的地方还是no fault。也就是别人撞了我的车，即使是别人的责任，最后是个
修个的。这是什么弱智policy?!
美国到底怎么回事呀！什么东西都涨钱！油价从10多年前的$1.5/gal到现在的$4/gal。
