in my dorm was stolen--we didn't even know it untill it was thrown in
through the gate and banged on the floor with a noise. we came out and found
the suitcase belong to one of us. The money inside was gone, but everything
else was still there.
I am not sure if I were a thief i would be that good. I could just throw it
to the trash. Or river. |

Also in '90, a guy attempted theft in a shopping mall, and killed the old
janitor when he was found. He later was sentenced to death.
also a few people gone missing after 1989 6.4.. well they could very well be

BTW, it is funny and I believe Immunity is better than cell, nature etc etc.

）的本科学生。我带领我的队友申请了一个暑期实践项目，主题是寻访珞珈校友，传承

由武汉大学华盛顿地区校友会发起，美东校友会和南加州校友会共同组织, 武汉大
学医学部和马里兰大学Fischell生物医学工程系协办的首届“珞珈生物医学国际论坛”
将于2013年9月21日（周六）在美国马里兰大学举行。本次活动也是武汉大学建校120周
年暨医学部成立70周年的庆祝活动之一，论坛面向全北美地区的武大校友，旨在为校友
提供交流合作和发展机会，也为母校提供国际合作资源和人才招聘平台。本届论坛由生
命科学院、医学部和交叉学科校友共同组织。已经邀请到北美的知名校友做论坛特邀专
题报告。本届论坛对武汉大学校友免费开放注册。
会议分为生物、医学、交叉学科和产业三部分组成，讲座内容为该学科国际热点问

I heard that in one of his paper, there are 6 co-first author, since
everyone in his lab need to have first author paper to graduate.
Don't understand why this kind of people could stay in a university. |

(陈希孺，1934年2月11日生于湖南省望城县，1956 年毕业于武汉大学数学系，

解放以来特别是改革开放20余年来，我国在发展数理统计学方面取得了很大的成
绩。同时我们也很清楚，与先进国家相比，我们仍有一段不小的差距。我们不难列举出
这一差距的种种表现。笔者认为，差距的存在不是主要问题。重要的在于“运行机制”
(借用一个流行的经济学术语)。“机制”对了。学科的发展走在正确的道路上，进入“
良性循环”，弥合现有的差距就不是难事。
日本可以作为一个例子，从时间上说，日本在这个学科上起步不比我们早。大致
