VR公司Oculus因剽窃游戏开发商Zenimax的专利技术，需向后者赔偿2.5亿美元。
2014年，Facebook以20亿美元收购了Oculus。达成交易不久，ZeniMax就对Oculus
提起了诉讼。只不过，当时Zenimax计划索要的是20亿美元赔偿。
今年初，陪审团曾裁定，Facebook因剽窃Zenimax的技术，需向后者支付5亿美元的
赔偿。
该案主审法官艾德-金卡德（Ed Kinkeade）显然只支持了陪审团的部分裁定，即
Oculus将向Zenimax支付2亿美元，用于赔偿因Oculus联合创始人洛基违反与Zenimax签
订的保密协议，所带来的损失；另向Zenimax支付5000万美元，用于赔偿专利侵权。
对Oculus来说，不仅赔偿金成功减半，主审法官金卡德还拒绝了Zenimax要求禁售
Oculus虚拟头盔的请求。
ZeniMax的一名律师曾辩称，Oculus仍在侵犯ZeniMax公司的版权，并指出“永久性

Bethesda(上古卷轴，辐射3)收购了ID software(毁灭战士，雷神之锤)。
这不是在开玩笑。 今天， bethesda的母公司zenimax证实了它们完全收购了ID
software。
不过ID目前正在开发的RAGE仍旧将交给EA发行。
