看了精华区大部分的游记都是夏天或者没有说明季节,我想请教一下冬天有
什么很有特色的活动或者景色要看么?
当然whistler滑雪肯定是有特色,但是如果不会滑雪的话还值得一去么?据说有到山顶
的缆车景色也是很好的。
还有victoria岛,看照片很多都是夏天的,很漂亮。现在这个季节去怎么样呢?

l*****l 发帖数: 1525 | 15 直觉上都会觉着,出门旅游该是件多么轻松,多么惬意,又多tm美好的一件事儿啊。其实不然。生活中,几乎所有人都只关心你飞的高不高,很少会有人关心你飞的累不累。旅游也是同样道理。君不见,黄河之水天上来;君不见;繁华背后现苍凉;君不见,光鲜背面多辛酸。
旅游,跟做research比较起来,未必就能轻松到哪儿去。当然,这里特指的是,像俺们酱紫滴穷人的自助游,那些烧钱跟团游的除外。去旅游,跟做一个project其实是一样一样一样滴。前期规划,中期执行,后期总结评估,一个都不能少。就前期的准备工作来说,就一堆又一堆。譬如:调研别人的游记,绞尽脑汁yy出经济又低碳的最优路线;提前一两个月就得在网上狗狗打折的机票;hotel更是重中之重,孔子有云,好的住宿是完美行程的一半,所以还得在tripadvisor上查排名,看review。这年头网站上刷好评的太多太多,国外也不例外,所以看别人评价的时候,还得火眼晶晶,去伪存真;再者,准备签证材料也是件啰哩叭嗦的事。如果把这一堆事都摆放在一块儿的话,那么一定就是两个字——头大。

放.提竿宁晚勿早,一般钩胃,摘钩很麻烦.但肯定不跑鱼.活虾也是不错的饵.要省钱其实
死mullet都可以.我一般10月捞mullt or shad 钓鱼,剩下的带回来冻上(加盐拌一下).
等捞不到live mullet时,就用死的.今天,下雨,底潮反涨,死饵,一样钓了五条.周围人人
都大丰收,他们用live mullet和live shrimp.我从10月底开始每星期必钓,就第一次没
钓到.有条件的话多玩几次吧,快过季了.钓Flounder久了就没乐趣了,我只keep这种鱼,

法,陪孩子在海边捉沙蟹。
然后扎营Orlando,拖娃带口,辛苦略去不表。抽空去了Clearwater。趁老婆孩子在海
滩游泳,我上了Pier 60。没看到有人钓鱼。
2013年冬假,孩子还要去Orlando。没办法,这次又在那里安营扎寨。一家人在Disney
迎接圣诞节。
Universal冒险岛靠近侏罗纪公园的一片小荷花塘,很美很静,却是吸烟的地方。
最后一天顺路去了Jacksonville 的Big Talbot Island State Park,那地貌很特别,
不知道是叫Marsh,Flat, 还是盐碱滩。
见到了传说中的寄居蟹和水母。
不知道这贝类能不能吃
下面这个紫色的软软的东东不知道是啥,没敢碰。
最后见到了一个唯一的渔民,过去问他钓到了啥, 他说大多是Whiting。
回来后的后遗症就是娃很难接受本地超低温和暴风雪的现实,想要旷课。我却非常快乐
积极地准备着2014年的第一钓。 |

。我们已经计划下一个雪季要在这里扎根了。我虽然更喜欢Snowbird,但母子俩的水平
还在蓝绿之间,这里更适合他们进步。去年我们在这里滑过两天,西边的几个雪道还不
错,相比Snowbird这里滑雪人少多了,安静,很适合一家人的活动。
几个月前,在诗版看到有人做《山坡羊》,手很痒,这回终于凑成了。

c***o 发帖数: 61 | 26 闹钟在5:30准时响起... 窗外已经有一抹天光。匆匆洗漱一下之后,我们开车来到Mirror
Lake trailhead。我们的计划是hike 2 miles到Mirror Lake看日出。
trail上面积了厚厚的一层雪,没过小腿,还好鞋子和裤子都是防水的。一路无话...
走着走着就听到了水声,原来是Tenaya Creek,水流很急,估计是上游融化了的雪水。这
时天已经逐渐亮起来了。
继续往前走了大概半小时,经过一段上坡,来到了一个pond边上。
由于地面的积雪,这时候我们根本不知道接下来还有没有trail,或者说trail在哪里?紧
接着的一个问题就是,眼前的这个pond究竟是不是Mirror Lake?... 这时候只好求助于
GPS - 结论是,我们应该继续往前走,可是地面上连野兽脚印都没有,怎么知道应该往哪
走呢?只好看着GPS朝着lake的方向走去。还好,走了个10来分钟,拐了个弯,就又看到
trail的标志了(就是路边的一块牌子)。

when he was still 50 meters away. The bear cub I met was like a naughty boy.
He appeared from behind my friend and me. It was no time before my friend saw

c***o 发帖数: 61 | 28 第三天,是在Yosemite的最后一天。我们沿着Merced River逆流以上,走Mist Trail去看
Vernal Fall。这条单程3 miles的trail基本上一直都在爬山。一开始是走在Merced
River的河岸上,到后来随着地势越走越高,人其实是走在河流两旁峡谷的山脊上,这时
候湍急的河水变得只可俯瞰。
这是在Mist Trail的trailhead看到的Merced River。
这段路明显要比前面一天走的upper yosemite fall trail容易,不过因为一直在走上坡
路,要是脚下踩着雪倒还好,要是踩着薄冰的话就是滑溜溜的,走得颇为费劲。这样走了
1.6 miles,出了一身汗,就到了Vernal Fall Foot Bridge了。顾名思义,这座桥是在
Vernal Fall的下游,可以远观瀑布。

要走了,再看一眼Yosemite峡谷。前面的河流是Merced River; 后面从左往右依次是El
Capitan, Bridalveil Fall,和Setinel Dome。

c***o 发帖数: 61 | 29 也凑一个热闹。花了两星期时间走马观花了一遍美西南,所谓的"Grand Circle",
只不过这次是在冬天,而且并非从Las Vegas出发,而是从Salt Lake City开始走了
一个大圈。冬天的景致和夏天很不一样,红土白雪煞是好看。可惜晚上温度太低没敢
camping,就只好全程住hotel/motel了。

with a stopover at Las Vegas was oversold, so I was happy to switch to a
direct flight with Delta and landed at Salt Lake City 4 hours earlier than
planned.
Looked up some restaurants reviews on Yelp and decided to have dinner at
Rodizio Grill. It truly lived up to its fame, and if you are a carnivore
like me, I'd highly recommend its Brazilian BBQ buffet.
After dinner, toured the city downtown a little bit. Temple Squa |

from hotel front desk. Guessed the previous guest must have forgotten to
reset the alarm as they checked out. Oops! Anyway, got up and took a peek
out of the window - still dark outside. Couldn't get back to sleep again, so
just listened to ipod for half an hour. OST of "The Legend of 1900" somehow
felt better in the early morning... And then 7 AM morning call, can't wait
to go!

Got up at 7 AM, had breakfast at hotel. Left for the park at about 8 AM when
the first Sun light began to fall on the Moab Fault at the entrance of the
park.
First hike today was at the North and the South Windows, and the Turret Arch
. As I reached the parking lot, I was totally surprised to find several
tourist buses already there.. Anyway, I hiked past numerous Chinese, Korean,

Plan to visit Canyonlands in two days. Today's to visit the Island in the
Sky area of Canyonlands National Park during the day, and go to Dead Horse
Point State Park to photograph sunset.
It was much colder today than the last two days in Arches, possibly due to
the higher altitude and the lack of surrounding sandstone fins to block the
chilly wind. The Sun was hiding behind the thick dark clouds until after

trip to the Needles District in Canyonlands National Park. Got up at 7 AM
and drove from Moab toward the Needles visitor center via SR 211. Called the
park ranger office and was told that the road condition was OK even though
there had been a snow storm last night.
In fact, once I turned onto SR 211, the road was covered in snow, much
thicker than that in Island in the Sky district. Drove really slow with

hours for me, since I made two stops en route.
First stop was at Goosenecks State Park, Four miles off Utah Highway 261
near Mexican Hat. I got to confront the San Juan River 1000-foot below. The
river meanders back and forth, flowing for more than five miles while
progressing only one linear mile toward the Colorado River and Lake Powell.

secure a special permit for hiking to "The Wave" two days later. It's a 1.5
hours drive from Page. Drove passed Glen Canyon NRA. I saw the sunrise on my
rear sight mirror. It was breathtakingly colorful! It was such an enjoyable
ride. The distant cliffs at Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument

Upper Antelope Canyon in the late morning / noon, and then photograph sunset
at Wahweap Bay of Lake Powell.
After breakfast, I joined the 9:30 AM departure 1.5-hours tour of Upper
Antelope Canyon. I chose this slot because it was also at 9:30 AM that the 2
.5-hours photography tour started. When I first arrived at the canyon, there

Left Page on Hwy 89 toward Kanab. After about 40 mins drive, made a left
turn into a primitive road called House Rock Valley. The drive on the dirt
road was about 8 miles / 30 mins at 20 MPH. Had to cross two or three washes

hike to "The Wave". Today's plan was to drive to Bryce Canyon National Park.
The drive took about 2.5 hours. Arrived at Best Western Ruby's Inn right
outside the park entrance. It was a very nice hotel, probably the best among
all that I had stayed so far since this road trip started. Checked in, took
some rests, and I set out to photography sunset at Bryce Canyon.

outside as shown on my car's dashboard display. As I was putting my nose

National Park. Surprise but quite happy to learn that I-15 had a speed limit
of 75 mph...
Arrived in Salt Lake City at about 3 PM. Looked like there would be another
two hours before sunset, so I went to Antelope Island State Park about half
an hour's drive north of SLC. The sheer size of the Great Salt Lake was
amazing. I almost forgot I was at an inland lake and thought it was sunset

Hobart(Mount Wellington)-Swansea天鹅海
在告别Hobart之前,我们决定开车上威灵顿山Mt Wellington看看,因为Hobart三面都
被惠灵顿山所环绕,只有东面朝海;据说站在山顶的观景山,可以通过望远镜看到整个
塔斯马尼亚岛,天气好的时候连新西兰也隐约可见。
去之前看到介绍上说,海拔1270米的惠灵顿山,山下绿树成荫,花草茂盛,山顶则是怪
石嶙峋,寒风扑面,从山脚到山顶短短30的分钟时间里,就能体会由温带到寒带的转变
--没想到我们的运气真是出奇的好,开车到半山腰,就发觉天气大变,再往上开,忽
然看到挡风玻璃上飘落雪花――这可真是巨大的惊喜,因为在四季如夏的新加坡生活,
我们已经很多年没有看到下雪了!所以大家兴奋的大呼小叫,加足马力开上山顶。
抵达山顶,已经是一片冬的世界,雪花满山飞,树梢上已经积了厚厚的一层雪。路边的
孩子们打着雪仗,还有好多人一身单薄的春夏装从车子里出来,冷得直打哆嗦,只好忙
着把车里能找到的衣服全部套上身,太逗了。。。
因为下雪,山顶的能见度不好,无法象晴天那样远眺海岛全景,不过能在山顶 |

多伦多有小希腊,小葡萄牙,小汉城,小波兰,小俄国,小印度,2个小意大利,还有3
个中国城。
一个在spadina,一个在broadview和calton, 还有一个就大了,以kennedy和steeles
为中心,半径5公里。 一般人说的是spadina那个。但是downtown2个中国城餐馆都不行
。要吃中餐得往东北角kennedy和steeles开。那个区每个路口,每个plaza都有几家中
餐馆。评价多伦多中餐基本不可能,根本吃不过来。
既然楼主说道buffet。多伦多有不少中餐buffet,最有名是mandarin。
但是比较中国的是buffet king和star walk。比如晚上buffet汤类有鱼翅羹,人参煲鸡
汤,板栗炖羊肉汤等等,还有北京烤鸭,葱姜爆龙虾啥的。
noodles”, 算个中餐馆, 要了个黑椒牛柳炒乌冬面, 顺便在隔壁的24小时营业的超
市RABBA买
了些水和水果。回到酒店打开饭盒后才发现给的竟然是黑椒牛柳盖饭, 懒得理了, 三
